I think they're stretching the word "legend" there for a few of them!

Tim Dellor is enough to put me off....
Hasn't the Didcot guy played hundreds of games for them over 20 years or something....

Come along and support the player who has dedicated his football career to Didcot Town. By what has been indicated so far it could be the 2004/2005 Didcot Town FA Vase winning team versus "Reading FC Stars Of The Past"

Entry charge £5.00 all adults - £1.00 U16's Commemorative Match Day Programme £2.00

Phucking Dellor? Can we get a kitty built up for one of the Didcot players to nobble him?

A midfield containing Watson, Osborn and Little in their primes would have been a little tasty.

Somewhat tempting just to get to see Little playing in a Reading shirt again.

I believe Jamie Cureton, Mick Gooding, Michael Gilkes, Barry Hunter and Stuart Beavon should also be in the squad...

Royal Lady I think they're stretching the word "legend" there for a few of them!

I thought the same thing, and then started thinking that legends aren't always good. Keith Scott is definitely legendary amongst Reading fans of a certain age range, just not for particularly positive reasons.

Dellor is also legendary to a certain extent... again, not particularly positively and certainly not for his playing ability. Apart from that photo I spose.

Casual fans seeing Andy Gray and Tom Jones listed may be disappointed....

But agree 100% that seeing Little play is a good reason to go.

Doesn't Tim play at full back? Any ringers in the opponents to really put him through the hoops ?

Back from the game - Didcot Town 2 Reading Legends 1

Good to see some of the old guard having a run out. Glen Little’s still got it. Class above. Great to see Gilskey on the wing. Gooding, Osbourne and Watson all looked tidy on the ball despite them all carrying the ‘mid-life paunch’ . Stuart Beavon penalty for us. A few faces didn't recognise. Dellor came on towards the end. Having built up the whole Jamie Cureton legend status to my kids before we got there, was disappointed not to see him. Didcot played well, although possession stats would have seen 70% in favour of the Royals.

Nice little club Didcot. Good facilities. Excellent bar / club house. Kids loved the chip shop hut. Can’t go wrong standing outside watching the game with a beer in your hand.
