Would you be willing to disclose how much you've paid for the trip so far Squelchy?

I think there's a GoGo bar near the ground which we could go go to.

The National Stadium, Bangkok - take your binoculars... and an umbrella as it's bound to be monsooning during the game at some point

I'm probably in for the BKK game. Squillions of airmiles on EK, an easy flight and, as the song goes, "one night in Bangkok."

It's actually in quite a smart part of the city centre, albeit you'd have to turn round and face the other direction.

If nine-storey shopping malls are your thing, you'd be in the right part of town (well, a 5 minute walk away).

I can easily imagine the game getting shunted to the much smaller stadium directly next door.

And yes, rain is very likely*, so going in the covered side would be advisable.

* and when it rains there, my god it rains. You don't so much seek shelter as think of building an ark.

Do you think segregation will be in place for this one? Perhaps the large bearded tango steward and Thames Valley Police flown over too just to keep an eye on "the usual" Y25 troublemakers?

Booked my flight from Chiang Mai to Bangkok for the friendly on July 8th.

Cannot find any info on tickets. A google search only came up with the Chelsea match they had in May.

Perhaps it's too soon or maybe someone else may have better luck , post if you do

With the season starting on the w/e of the 8th and 9th August, the home friendly will presumably be on Saturday 1st.

I presume we'll get a couple more local away friendlies as well before the start of the season.
