sandman Remember that time.when Nigel Adkins guided Reading to promotion? Me neither, but the bloke presenting insists it happened.

I noticed that too. What a bellend.

Awful show- the audience seemed like they weren't sure if they could get involved, then when they asked a guy to speak there was no mic within half a bloody mile of him.

Also, what the fukk is this trend of having presenters holding iPads? They do it on SSN too, and no one ever seems to be using them.

I'll just watch SSN until I can see the goals, or wait until Monday when the highlights go on Youtube.

Although Sky also managed to say "Danny Guthrie with the cross, for Blackman to head the equaliser". :|

3points Just noticed that Plymouth are using exactly the same away kit as ours!

There did seem to be quite a few variations of "African Violet" on show last night

Martin Allen looked a bit embarrassed to be there at times.

I don't want a studio audience, this isn't Fantasy Football, I don't even particularly want a studio. The Premiership is driven to some extent by the armchair audience so warrant a highlights package on a Saturday evening fronted by ex pros and bags of self important waffle masquerading as analysis, the Football League less so.

I reckon 80% of a Football League show audience record it and watch it on a Sunday morning and are only interested in the highlights. I can understand the BBC sticking it straight on after MOTD, an attempt to give it equal importance but I want a couple of feature matches and then a goals/contentious moments reel for each division in order. I'm the first to slag off ITV's sports coverage but they got it absolutely spot on with their football league show. IMO, the BBC got it about half right but Channel 5 need to chuck the format in the bin and start again from scratch. Don't try re-inventing the wheel. Channel 5 still isn't taken as seriously as the other channels, despite some excellent output and this is symbolic of why.

Jesus that was awful.

Pointless studio audience.
IPads.
"Martin, talk us through this" "What do you want me to say?"
Nigel Adkins getting us promoted.
Spending so much time studying the league tables (on those stupid spinning things) after one game.
"That Reading goal was definitely over the line wasn't it? I think we need to see it again.... after the show." Thanks.

Terrible programme, like watching a bunch of kids and the token geezer bird. I was looking forward to watching all the goals.I

What a load of rubbish that was. Totally disjointed and presented by, what appeared to be a bunch of naughty schoolboys and a token geezer bird. I had recorded this, and almost rewound the programme because I felt I had somehow missed the Reading game, little realising that we were being saved for the grand finale. total shambles1

CountryRoyal

I actually thought the BBCs Football League Show was decent, there was nothing wrong with it. Not saying I like Claridge but I could put up with whoever they had on there. Channel 5? WTF?

If it aint broke don't fix it.

I think I'll just watch the highlights on YouTube, and I can also see them on the Sky Sports live score app on my phone which now has video highlights.

Right at the end. I spent much of my time tutting loudly and pressing the FF button. Sky used to have a programme with just the goals in it. I think I like that the best.

I just wait until Sunday morning and watch the highlight reels on the Sky Sports website.

Job done.
