Hoop Blah Good news, again. I like this signing and the signals it sends.

A good little player who's quite the little schema and good on the ball and, I think, can play out wide if needs be. I wonder if Clarke is looking to be able to play 4-3-3 as well as 4-4-2 with the way he seems to be shaping the squad.

Currently his options look more like 4-4-3 or 4-5-2 , but hopefully that will change.....

Just need to take a look at the #HCAFC twitter feed to see how much of a loss the Hull fans see this as.

Can confirm that #readingfc are indeed confident they have won the race for Stephen Quinn. Still some work to be done though.

Reports from @PJBuckingham up at Hull that #readingfc have won the race for Stephen Quinn.

This would be an excellent signing.

Look forward to tipping my hat to Big Foot in being in that exclusive ITK club.

I don't know a lot about Mr. Quinn, but i'm excited from the comments from Hull fans! My favourites being....

"Shame would've been class this season, he would be class for most prem clubs"

"Steve Bruce's logic: Play Huddleston who doesn't put a shift in and a rock moves more then him. Get rid of Quinn who puts a 110% into every game."

"What? Is this a sick joke?"

"Very big loss to a champ rival"

HYPED.

Great signing. Hope he's put out on left wing though. If not, central midfield competition is going to be a f-uckfest.

Not at all... Norwood, Williams and Quinn in the middle has the makings of 8)

Just depends how SC is going to set up the team ....

He's a central midfielder.

Could've sworn he was put on the left once? He probably could play there and still be better than HRK

I could see Clarke using him on the left of a midfield 3 with Williams on the right and Norwood in the middle, or just as one of the two in the middle where I think he's probably at his most comfortable (time will tell).

He could also be used on the left of a 4, playing quite narrowly allowing McLeary on the right to be given a bit more freedom to attack whilst keeping enough bodies in the middle. I think Clarke did that with the likes of Brunt, Morrison and Dorrans at West Brom didn't he?

He's supposedly good with set pieces too, something I felt was a major weakness of ours last season, we never looked like scoring from set pieces.

isn't he more box to box, whereas Brunt, Morrison and Dorrans are all AMs/wingers?

VERY happy with this signing - the same work rate as Jem with more of a product .... probably at a cheaper cost!

Lacoste

On the face of it, this is a surprisingly good and clever signing.

Hope Clarke doesn't ruin it by signing Donaldson for big money (for us). Surely there is better out there for the price quoted?
