windermere_royal Love the confident way he tucks away penalties, that`s 3 he`s taken and they have all been the same, just rolling it in after sending the keeper the wrong way. they wil be doing their homework on him now. he needs to vary it a bit.

I have always felt that taking a penalty that way is a mark of a player with real confidence

I assume he also practises taking a good penalty from a standing position just in case the keeper doesn't dive?

I hate that sort of pen because any time the keeper wins the psychological battle it's saved. I prefer the ones where it doesn't matter if the keeper picks where you'll put it.

At the time I thought he would do this or even just dink it
Work on some variations Nick - you'll be found out otherwise

But it in the meantime,
......better believe he scores goals!!

I have always felt that taking a penalty that way is a mark of a player not convinced he can consistently put the ball in the corner.

Who cares, it works. Only time it doesn't is when the keeper just stands there as well !

Sadly his success gives ROYALS a problem, JANUARY TRANSFER, Will he stay or will he go? with price of goal scorers he must be worth a mint.

He'll stay in January. His contract's up in the summer and as long as he puts in a shift he'll get his rewards then.

I'm sure though the club will be lining up a new contract for him. One of those odd things in football at the end of last season he could have been see as surplus to requirements. A dozen or so games later he's the best striker in the Championship!

Of course, If we sell Blackman for a massive fee (Think Matt Mills, only more as he's a striker) and he proves to be replaceable with further funds remaining to strengthen the squad we will be calling SC a genius.

Personally, I hope Blackman stays and if his form continues I hope he signs a new contract with us - If we go up, I imagine that will be a formality.

Whilst at the moment Blackman being sold in Jan would be bad, it wouldn't be the end of the world as its better to cash in then lose him for nothing and we still Vydra + Sa, not to mention Samuel would be back and most of us would like to see Liburd nearer the first team.

As a right forward though we have loads of options on the wing. Wouldn't be the end of the word but let's just hope it doesn't happen anyway. Unless Chelsea and Liverpool are in a relegation dogfight and get stuck in a bidding war and we get £20m.

Who could we possibly replace him with?

Oh hang on, McCleary, Hurtado or Stacey... oh darn it all to heck, what awful options available. Woe is us.

oxf*rd me that's insanely good for the Championship.

Exactly. Only thing you could say is their goal scoring record isn't any where near as good (obviously) but then they've hardly exactly had a run in this side.

Just hope they all stay fit and Clarke and keep them all happy.

Why is it so likely he'll leave in January?
