Derby (H) - Prediction Thread

by Winchester Royal » 14 Sep 2015 11:38

I reckon after Friday's result and performance, we'll be in a confident mood and take another win, this one being a tighter margin as Derby will set themselves up to stifle us.

Reading 2-1 Derby, Vydra and Blackman.

Attendance 18,600.

Derby finally got a win at the weekend. Recks this'll be a score draw. 2-2. Sa with both for us. Martin and Bent for them.

1-1.

Entertaining battle and Derby will be much more solid than Ipswich.

Martin for them and another one for Sa.

Thank goodness another chance to see Reading FC at home and going for a hat trick of Championship wins. Confidence is a wonderful thing when a Manager and his team has created the platform for a team and supporters to launch a real promotion charge. With the Championship having so many teams believing that they could get to a play-off position if not automatic, confidence and belief levels can often be the critical factor, to encourage a risky forward pass to create a goal scoring opportunity vs. a safe side or backward pass.

Reading is now on the confidence crest wave and looking to ride it for as long as possible, while Derby are still spluttering and flapping around trying to find the wave that saw them lead the Championship in February only to fall off and drop out of the play-off zone, and finish the season losing to a different Reading team.

Surely looking at a Reading win, with a clean sheet as the defence form returns to normal status.

3 - 0 Sa, Vydra, Blackman

Will be a hard game, Derby have spent 20 million and sooner or later that will most likely start showing

although we are looking very, very strong at the moment,

I´ll go for a 3-1 Reading win, Sa, Blackman and Vydra after going 1-0 down

You could change your location. Chris Baird is probably out injured:
http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/Derby-County-Chris-Baird-set-miss-Rams-matches/story-27789793-detail/story.html
"SKIPPER Chris Baird is out of Derby County's Championship clash at Reading on Tuesday and could miss the home game against Burnley the following Monday."

Pearce only might be in the Derby squad if Baird is out injured.

Not sure on this one, although we won 5-1 last game this will be tighter i think. Although we won the last game people complained that our defence looked weaker, well duh! of course it did, the balance has to be right between defence and attack and that blend needs to be right. i go for a 2-1 win for us though.

Either a 0-0 or a pretty high scoring affair if so;

4-3 Reading

Vydra x 2, Sa, Blackman

Martin x 2, Shakell

Don't worry Peps, I'm going and I've not seen us lose since Barnsley at home in the 11/12 season.

If Pearce plays, I can see a good 2-0, maybe 3-1 to Reading.

 For the prediction threads perhaps a poll of win lose or draw could be added to each one with the score predictions in the posts :?:

OK, make that 4-1.
