Match Thread - Everton (H) League Cup

by PistolPete » 22 Sep 2015 19:01

Reading starting XI: Al-Habsi, Gunter, Taylor, Cooper, Hector (c), John, Piazon, Fernandez, Hurtado, Tshibola, Blackman.

Reading subs: Moore, McShane, Norwood, Obita, McCleary, Williams, Cox.

Like this?

------------------Al Habsi-----------------
Gunter - Hector - Cooper - Taylor
--------Fernandez--Tshibola----------
Hurtado------Piazon-------------John
-----------------Blackman-----------------

We will ship too many goals like this!!

Four full debuts, quick attacking... how strong is the Everton team? Could get ugly :/

Quinn will be disappointed, he wanted to play and doesn't even make the bench.

Everton: Robles, Funes Mori, Jagielka, Stones, McCarthy, Osman, Lennon, Barkley, Deulofeu, Lukaku, Kone

3-5-2 for Everton?

Yep - very attacking for them too! Should be goals!

Traffic dog rough up to the motorway roundabout. Probably miss the 10 minute Lukaku hattrick.

Glad I didn't go - think we'll get destroyed. Don't think wholesale changes like that are a good idea ....

Opted not to travel to the ground tonight so watching at home. So easy to find streams these days via Twitter - wasn't like that when I were a lad.

Fernandez looked nervey to start with but is growing into the game

Hurtado looks quick and direct - exactly as we were told.

Other two new boys anonymous so far. Blackman looks sharp.

Some neat touches from Piazon actually, and Blackman has been a little selfish so far.

He says, as he slots a through ball for Piazon... unlucky.

Very fluid front four so far. Look a bit outnumbered in midfield. Alex looks poor so far, just not at the races. Tshibola showing him how it's done. Who'd have thought that two months ago.
