Maneki Neko and on top of that, oxf*rd all the shit about style.
the best style is one that wins. the end.
and id rather watch a million games of old school reading wingplay/counter attack than 1 game of painfully dull tika taka in our own half.

Amen to that, brutha

Is it because his current one doesn't expire until next summer and there are more urgent things to worry about?

So one of our better players is in the rags saying he is waiting for the club to get back to him and doesn't know what's going on?

Oh good.

General Reading policy in recent years seems to be to sign up the younger players but do naff all about those senior players who are coming up for renewal until the summer. That is just kak, so very kak.

Also I thinks it's bad that the manager DOES NOT get the final say on all things connected with the playing side.

Player and agent in angling for a nice chunky pay rise and a longer term contract shock!

If you read the article though, I reckon the most telling points are
- he's got another 12 months left after THIS summer
- he was asked by the reporter if talks have started, he hasn't come out and started complaining because he's getting twitchy about it
- "he insists he is not losing any sleep over the club’s silence"

“I’ve got a year left in the summer and they know I want to be here. I’ve spoken to them and said that. I’m sure something will happen when they are ready.”
That actually sounds like they have opened preliminary talks with him as well doesn't it?
