Ian Royal One request... let's not come across as bitter provincials by bringing up the old West Ham exit grudge. Long since under the bridge for me at least. He's certainly not done a bitter and twisted Mark McGhee mouthing off against us routine that I'm aware of.

Well let's hope so, captain sensible. God forbid there be some passion in the game. Hopefully players and fans approach the game like unfeeling robots rather than having one of those great, passionate, blood and thunder cup ties. We wouldn't want any fun or excitement breaking out.

Hopefully you, Hoop Blah, Nameless and the rest of the fun police will be out in force to keep excitement to a minimum.

Fair comments from the palace lot. Understandable optimism as we were the "best" draw to get, but plenty of level-headedness as well.

Winnershroyal Restrict their tickets to 2200.

Sell the other half of the south stand.

Ola Ola Ola John Ola John Ola John..PIA PIA PIAZON!

I think we are governed by FA rules to give more tickets than 2200

So last year BBC/BT Sport had 2 of the QF's on Saturday (lunchtime & teatime) with 1 on the Sunday and 1 on the Monday. Assuming we'll be fourth choice for any broadcaster so we'll get the crappy slot again. Imagine they'll go with Everton Chelsea first choice, Man Utd vs West Ham second choice, Arsenal/Watford third choice and ourselves last.

About as good a draw as we could have hoped for really. Not easy but winnable.

Wanted it, got it, Palace was obvious choice.

Take on and beat Pardew.

Also, his team are level-pegging with WBA right now, same points, same games played. Therefore a winnable game, semis here we come.

Let's not discount the fact they've just beaten title challengers Tottenham in their own back yard.

Because a good atmosphere is only possible in an FA Cup QF when abusing the opposition manager for his Reading FC history.

True. And even when a couple of posters are getting above their station, they've been brought back into line by the 'keeping it real' crew.

Has to be said this is reading. We seldom generate enough of an atmosphere purely out of support for our team.

I'm certainly with them on wanting to avoid Clattenburg as ref.

@sonkimarsson
Kitsondinho Everton v Chelsea is virtually nailed on for the Monday night game as Chelsea have their CL game on the Wed. L. Irish are at home on the Saturday and I really can't see us being the Friday night game....especially when Shrewsbury get through tomorrow!!

So Friday or Sunday for us then!

I thought this....until I remembered the London Irish home game was in the USA.....

I was unaware of this rather crucial fact.....

We have to give them 15% of capacity. So that'll be the same as West Brom, 4000'ish.

marlowuk I had assumed Spurs would beat Palace but as they haven't then this is the best tie we could have after Man U/Shrewsbury. And it's at home - winnable!!!

If we win this then we will be a second tier side in the semi-final of the FA cup in consecutive seasons. When was the last time that was achieved and by whom? Snowball?

According to this wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FA_Cup_semi-finals
It's never happened, we would be the first.

Thanks tidus - who needs Snowball? So this is a chance for us to make history again!! Bring it on!!!

Watford would be ideal. When's the draw?

bobby1413 Surprised so many seem to be playing Watford - haven't we always struggled against them?

This.

Happy with Palace at home - has Pardew ever won at the Mad Stad since leaving us? As for him against McDermott, can remember those games in the PL, beat Newcastle away and were very unfortunate not to win the home game thanks to Demba Ba's handball goal then McAnuff hitting the post even after that.

Just wondering, when would the game be? I'm assuming it will be on BT and won't be a Friday or Monday game but don't know the other slots that BT have.

Is there any reason you think this?

Just wondering as I'm eager to know as I'm working Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and may struggle to get the day off if it's on the weekend.
