Sounded like we competed reasonably well against a good Brighton side - had more shots and more possession.

Clearly a lot to sort out with the squad. But it's highly unlikely a team in 15th place is going to suddenly go on a 10 match winning run near the end of the season - starting the season afresh next year might naturally lead to a renewed sense of momentum anyway. I think we'll win a few and lose a few before the end of the season - not going to get too caught up in it either way.

We had the chances and the players missed them, not much the manager can do about that.

With nothing to play for - how much will the loan players really care now?

Everybody still think we have nothing to play for this season? one sodding away win since September, 14 bloody away games without a clean sheet, a few more bad results and we are going to drop lower and lower.
Thank fcuk we only have 10 shitty games to go. I`m sick of this shambles, it`s been a farce since our last promotion.
While the chuckle brothers Howe and Hammond supported by their puppet master John Madejski remain the decline of our club will continue for the forseeable future.

I don't think we'll get dragged into trouble.

This is basically a carbon copy of last season, a change of manager in December, followed by a good cup run and indifferent league form and eventually finishing lower mid table.

Pre Season starts now. It is a great opportunity with 10 games to go to do some serious experimentation. Let's just make sure we get the one or two wins that we still need to guarantee are championship status for next season though.

I'm all for some serious experimentation - with a new manager & coaching team!

Ian Royal Dellor obsessing about unopposed headers for Brighton's defence from Al-Habsi kicks. Brighton get a chance off the last one.

Doesn't that sound a bit like long ball Ian or is Dellor just saying "bullshit"?

RoyalBlue And now he has ruined another great midfielder by playing him in the wrong position, in the wrong formation and with the wrong tactics.

So Brian has "ruined a great Midfielder by playing him in Midfield"
A great midfielder should be able to play anywhere in the Midfield, if they can't then they really aren't that great.

Hope this helps, but you cannot in all seriousness build a Midfield around Oliver Norwood who has seriously been found out as a very limited footballer.
Thanks....

Mixed emotions tonight, on the one hand we competed well against a side in the top few but on the other hand they were awful & created little. My gripe is with Hector...the worst opening 45 you can imagine, lost possession time & time again, gave away free kicks in dangerous areas. Looks lost & frustrated now, I would leave him out, gone at end of season & I worry about his future.
Gunter was woeful again, needs serious competition which might up his gam... 'might'. Vydra however did well & was a threat, why take him off as HRK is not a striker. Overall deserved a point but another frustrating evening which could have been so much better, just about sums up the season

Brian wants to get us back to what we're all about. He can't do that entirely with the current players at his disposal. Wholesale changes are needed over the summer to bring in the right players with the right character and ethos.

This is a project that cannot be delivered in just a few short months. Big Mac needs time and in that time he needs our support. Get behind the manager and support him. One or two transfer windows is unlikely to be enough to get the side into promotion winning shape. It could take 6 or 7 windows. If we keep chopping and changing our managers then expect the next two decades to be spent in the Championship or lower. We need to support our manager and give him the time he needs to get the job done.

You would think BM should be able to motivate them - it's in their interests to do well from now until the end of the season and they're potentially putting themselves in the shop window.
