Pre Match warm up : QPR (a) sponsored by a Murty penalty

by Sutekh » 23 Apr 2016 09:02

OK then prior to the big game ( ) at 3pm let's have a pre match warm up over anything Reading or QPR related.

I'll start with the team news for both sides

Reading

Williams and McShane serve their final game ban.

Gunter may well return to the team

HRK is back in training but not likely to be risked. Obit and Tshibola are still out

QPR

Jamie Mackie has a hamstring injury and won't play.

Conor Washington is expected to lead the line again in an effort to score his first Rangers' goal in 11 attempts (think we can probably guess what will happen).

Referee

Keith Hill (Pld 20 W 6 D 5 L 9)

In an attempt to make a mean-nothing end of season game more interesting, both teams will play in their home kits

Oh, if only that would happen. Anything to make these meaningless games a big entertaining laugh in.

Game is far from meaningless. All part of development for next season. There's formation that McD is putting into place. Working through what does and doesn't work. Even the Middlesbrough incident exposed a weakness in the squad.

Pay for Reading Player, although I don't know how well it is compatible with tablets and phones. Or try the QPR local radio station.

Been to the Bush a few times. Never forget the time we went up there and stood in the top tier, at the very back. Jeeze that was cold. In fact so nippers that when we went for a beer at half time one of the lads who, incidentally, was wearing a Del boy sheep skin coat, said 'sod that' when they came out for the second half. Instead he chose to crack on with drinking the plasy bottles of large and went AWOL for the rest of the game. Certainly could have done with a pre-match warm up on that occasion.

LOL @ Gunter not immediately getting his place back. Really not keen on classy but immobile Ferdinand and gangly and slip prone Cooper as a CB pairing. Ferdie and Hector for me to give Cooper a break.

Other than Taylor no loan players in the starting line up. Strongest team from those available.

RAKELS. Woop woop.

I'm glad he's got a couple, he looks like a Bri type striker. Very aggressive and busy in his running and work rate. Was linking up very well with Vydra early on in the last match.
