His touch looked a bit heavy at times on that clip, but what I like is that he adapted and dealt with it. And he was always looking to be positive. He anticipates what the defence is going to do and uses it to his advantage, showing them one thing and doing another. And he can see a pass and move off the ball too. It's only a tiny highlights real, but it's one of the best I've seen for one of our signings or prospective signings. He looks like an actually good Mendes... do you think we got the wrong guy originally?

Very positive especially if we've beaten off PL teams to catch him. HIm and Swift look like great additions. Some of the others, rather less so.

If the reports of the clubs we beat to his signature is true then this is good news. Knows he will have a better of shot of playing here and is obviously hungry.

As a first pro contract I imagine we'll be paying his development costs, which is some uefa formula I think.

Any idea who the translator in the club video is, is it his agent? Is he linked to the agency Stamm is with?

He has good media training (in French), - the translation was a bit loose. Let's see if he takes English lessons

He describes himself as pacy, strong and direct who likes running at players, taking them on in one on ones, crossing and scoring goals

Let's hope he's an Aneka rather than a Manset

Going forward we look rather impressive and mightily quick. On paper we are looking promising again (still need a defender maybe?) , let's hope we can perform on grass the same way (and when I say "perform on grass" I don't mean the kind of stoned performance crap from last season.)

We certainly could do with a defender but then I don't think our defence last season was actually that bad, they were just badly exposed by getting no support from the midfield.

It was the lapses that let us down badly. I do hope JS persists with Cooper. He's still learning and I'm sure he will get better, its whether he's given time.

Looks like Ola John Mark 2 ... but the cheaper version.

Looks pretty useful, seems to me he is predominately a right winger though....

No Fixed Abode Good to see Reading buying young talent from abroad instead of using their good academy players.
f11ck me, we're turning into Chelsea

Chelsea's youth players wish they were at a team like Reading that's had so many young players not only get first team debuts, but actually break into the side properly.

You obviously didn't see Roy Beerens tonight then, Ian

No. I was referring to Mendes in particular, but some of the others haven't inspired huge confidence either.

Well this one came a bit out of the blue

This looks like it could have the potential of being a great signing. Young hungry kid, who could quite have easily taken the money at PSG.

I know youtube/Instagram clips shouldn't be the basis for getting excited over players, but that Instagram clip
