Old Man Andrews Meite was very good at the back end of last season and literally won us games on his own so he has a lot of credit in the bank with me.

It was his combination with Barrow that worked well, shame he's now gone

Don't get the Barrow love, when he was here people would get incredibly frustrated with him/his end product. But now he is gone, I have seen a lot of people saying it is a shame he has gone.

Barrow was a poor footballer, shown by his terrible performance against Wednesday but he was different in the sense that he was more direct

2 world wars, 1 world cup Yeah he's good I like him but first choice has to be P&J.

Just stick with them, let them develop their partnership rather than all this ridiculous chopping and changing FFS.

J can G away.

Fair enough

And that’s why he didn’t play Saturday as well (birth of his child)

I think it would be more fair to say that Barrow was a controversial player. In two seasons at the club he scored 14 goals which is a very good return for a winger (it's the same as Convey and Little managed between them in their entire Reading careers).

Think the only reason people didn't get more upset when he left was because it was assumed Boye would be a good replacement. So far he hasn't so it is looking like a mistake.

As for Meite - he should be starting.

Never is until he's had 3 or 4 games in the same position.

At least he's oxf*rd trying. Unlike half the rest mincing about.

You're wrong, but ok. His goal last night was a peach, not one you would class as coming from a shit player.

4 goals this season, 13 last. And he has been on the bench for a lot of that.

Its a shame our other strikers aren't as shit as him

He's not amazing. But he does get goals. Awful first touch at times, eg last night. But big and strong and most importantly probably plays with more passion than any other Reading player I can think of.

I used to think Puscas and Joaoup front is a foregone conclusion. I still rate the pairing, if used prooperly (i.e. Joao not coming deep as Mick says) but now I'm thinking Meite and Puscas may well be worth a shot. Whatever Gomes decides though he needs to stick with.
