MATCHWATCH : Brighton & HA (h) sponsored by big club syndrome

by Sutekh » 20 Aug 2016 13:55

Liam Moore has signed a 4 year deal this AM but probably not in time to play

Brighton will have 4 ex Reading players available; Glen Murray, Oliver Norwood, Steve Sidwell and Liam Rosenior. They have yet to concede a goal in any competition this season.

Finally there possibly maybe some strange issues this PM as there has been a fire at B&Q which has affected power supplies in the area consequently the situation at the club is a little bit iffy, being on backup power, with BBC Berks not able to get a consistent line set up (which presumably would apply to any other broadcaster). Emergency services have apparently closed off the retail park temporarily so there could be additional traffic problems.

Giving this a miss today as going to save my dollar for Cardiff.

I'd take the draw now, fear we could be in for a bit of a slaughtering.

EDIT: Just seen the team. Please change the word "could" with "will".

Doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. This Brighton side will tear us apart. Can see it being 0-4 by half time.

With the team selection we can only hope for respectable scoreline, a draw will be a bonus.

Well, I can only assume Stam's philosophy is based on 'the more they play my system the better they will become at it' by sticking with the same team. At least he is consistent rather than some of the previous managers who tinkered with the line up week / in week out.

We know the line up will change next time out as we've signed Liam Moore. Therefore, Joey may also have to find a place in midfield and Sandro Wieser also enters the fray. We might yet still see a new striker and left back come in, too.

A good clean, tough, honest, gritty performance from the boys is all we can expect today. It'll be a tough one against the league leaders who have yet to concede. A big URZ to the lads and fingers crossed they get a result.

Could be a bit of 'show me which of you not to drop' effort, with changes likely for the next game thanks to the arrival of Moore.

We should defend the point bring Cooper on and push JVB in front of the back 4.

Lols, only Reading could be drawing a game where they'd scored and the other side hasn't had a shot on target.

Sounds like we're all over them, but can't put it away.
