Hardly, we've lost leads twice as large before.

An early goal suits our style perfectly, keeping the ball making the opposition chase us down tiring them out, forcing them to come to us and exploiting the space it causes. Under Stam we've taken the lead in the first half seven times and we've won six of those matches, drawing once. I'm extremely confident this will be three points against a side in the bottom three who've only scored six goals at home so far this season.

BOOKMARK

Smug face. 8)

Seven from eight.

Stam has won 50% of his League games with us.

Winston Smith How the f are we 4th??

Because we have a better points haul or GD than 20 other clubs.

We are actually a pretty decent team this year and at the moment only look like getting better.

Ollie on BBCRB sounds like a depressing oxf*rd. Thanks for agreeing with him and proving how useless you are Rita.

It's almost like all the work we've put into playing the way Stam wants us to, starting from the back and developing our ability to be comfortable on the ball and use it, has paid dividends. So we're now becoming familiar and experienced enough that we make the right decisions about when to hold it and when to up the pace or switch up and go more direct. Who'd have thought persisting at working hard on something with players reasonably suited to it, and a good manager might pay off.

Who'd also have thought that simpletons will just equate lower possession to more goals, failing to appreciate the required hard work to get us here.

Who'd have thought Ian Royal was so thin skinned that he'd resort to name calling over a statement of fact?

Oh yeah, everybody.

Interesting moment on the pentalty, Williams clearly asked mccleary if he wanted it, as he's on a hatrick, but he was visibly shaking his head letting kermie have it.

I like that, he's having a great game but realises he's missed a couple and leave up the chance of a hatrick to let possibly a more confident taker have a go.

Good stuff!

Did anyone else notice Liam Moore's involvement in that second goal. Superb from both Moore and GMac.

Accordong to Jaap's post match interview, Kermogant was the nominated penalty taker after both GMac and Williams having missed pens in recent weeks.
