Sutekh
royalp-we This was last season; and it'll be fairly similar for our visit

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... ridge.html

Adult United and Cambridge fans will have to pay full price for the replay, which will take place a week on Tuesday at Old Trafford.

Adult fans will pay between £31 and £53 to watch the match at the 75,000-seater stadium.

Cambridge, who are entitled to 45 per cent of ticket revenue, are likely to receive a sizeable windfall, particularly if the match sells out.

One one hand "what a bunch of disgusting money grabbing greedy ********" on the other hand keeping it to standard pricing would be good for the smaller club if Utd more or less sell out (and for the return of Stam that is a possibility). So assuming a conservative average ticket price of £30 to allow for freebies and concessions and a full house that's approx £1.1 million for Reading for a days work.

I presume our allocation will be the full 15% (11,250) tickets or will safety and police grounds stop that happening?

Can we sell 11250 ?

I don't think we would sell 11000 - especially with it not being just down the road like a London based club would be.

Maybe we could sell 7-8k though

Think £40 will be the asking price but allocation of 5500, which we will sell .
No way we would take 11,000 to Manchester for a 3rd round game. Not as if it is a new ground or anything....

When we got them in the 5th round a few years back weren't they charging £45?

Sh1t... I've under estimated the cost of this now. I've already spent £100 on two nights up in Manchester.

Hendo
genome Heart,

I've already seen us get smashed at Brentford and Fulham so it'll make no difference if we get smashed there.

Agreed, heart all the way.

For these games I always think - I would rather be there and lose than not go and we win/draw. If we were to win, I would ecstatic, but I would hate the fact I wasn't there to see it in person.

Ok thanks for the advice all. I missed Liverpool away and would have done anything to have gone.

Corr they're dragging the ticket news about a bit though, no?!

Liverpool away was the game that made me decide to take this approach in future.

I've been lucky enough to be at most of recent cup adventures.....especially the northern away games! I should be able to go United too....Even if I end up in the home end like City in 2011...Just wish they'd announce prices/allocation!

I assume the club have taken Jaap's 'Talking about United' ban at face value and we won't get ticket news until after Bristol City......

Fair play to Reading for subsidising the tickets. Shit form from Man U to try and charge so much in the first place.

Reckon there'll be a fair few grumbling about the allocation. Great move on pricing though.
