How many did McGhee sign at Wolves?

Williams
Gilkes
Osbourne
Taylor (I think Taylor might have joined after Gilkes left)

edit - Keith Curle was there too

Edit.
VDB and Beerens both played at Heereveen

Beerens and Gravenberch both played at N.E.C.

I am sure that Aldersh*t must have had a few ex-Reading in any given line-up.

Hmmm. Can only think of Wayne W-a-n-k-l-y-n, (to the Mods and youth on here, yes that was his real name.! Google it!!!), Tommy Youlden and Paul Bennett going from us to them. With Glenn Burville going the other way ( a bit later)

Jerry Williams also ended up there too IIRC.

I feel old.

Wayne W@nklyn
Tommy Youlden
Paul Bennett
Alan Wooler
Terry Bell
Ray Dean
Neil Webb
Jerry Williams
Colin Duncan
Mike Dixon

Not all at the same time of course, but no doubt some others.

When we beat them 2-1 in 1997, Gilkes and Curle were playing for them, and Williams and Osborn were at the club at the same time but didn't play.

Mautone was our keeper in that match, they also later signed him after he left us.

I was considering going with something like "Reading fielded eleven former footballers against QPR last week".

Hungerford Town this season have had Nicholas Bignall, Nicky Shorey, James Harper play for them, as well as former Academy players Louie Soares and Rhys Tyler, whilst their first choice keeper George Legg is on loan from us

If we're counting loanees, Exeter have been regularly playing a 3-4-3 formation this season with a right side made in Reading, with academy graduates Pierce Sweeney in defence, Jack Stacey at wing back, and Jake Taylor further forward

And isn't their manager Bobby Wilkinson, who is ex Reading Youth?

Did anyone go to the couple of Wokingham Town v Chelsea pre-season friendlies (part of the deal which took Barnard to Chelsea). The 1st one being at Palmer Park and the 2nd the following year at the now defunct Wokkers Town ground? Quite surreal seeing the likes of Gordon Durie, John Bumstead and Damien Matthew playing there.

Wasn't Michael Dobson also an integral part of our squad for a period of time ?

Wasn't it Sidwell that committed the foul that created Cureton's goal?
