Just realised if Wigan do not win the appeal we are just 1pt from mathematically being safe. As Wigan play Barnsley and Hull next that will come very quickly.

We are almost certainly ok now. Hull 8 behind with a vastly inferior GD, they need to win 3 of their last 4 games to pass our total if we don't pick up another point.

windermereROYAL Middlesbrough win at Millwall, if Wigan win their appeal 3rd bottom will certainly be more than 50 points this season.

nice, Sjoke drop down back into it

Just seen some Yorkshire press suggesting a decision from EFL on Wednesday and their ground sale imminent. Possible they will lose points too.

Be funny if Wigan and Wednesday both go down.

It'd mean there'd be a lot of toss to beat next season.

League One would be quite entertaining.

13 Reading 53 +5
14 QPR. 53 -7
15 Wigan 53 -7
16 Sheff Wed. 52. -8
17 Birmingham. 49 -15
18 Middlesbrough. 47 -11
19 Huddersfield 47 -14
20 Stoke. 46 -8
21 Charlton. 46 -10
=======================
22 Hull. 45 -17
23 Barnsley. 42 -21
24 Luton. 41 -32

As it stands, 12 teams can still be relegated. These are the remaining fixtures for those 12. Highlighted fixtures are head to head. Win on Saturday and we are mathematically safe. Given the head to heads, we (and QPR) probably already are.

Leeds v Stoke

Huddersfield v Luton

Charlton v Reading
Barnsley v Wigan

Hull v Millwall
Middlesbrough v Bristol City
QPR v Sheff Wed

Stoke v Birmingham
Reading v Middlesbrough
Wigan v Hull
Luton v QPR
Sheff Wed v Huddersfield

Birmingham v Charlton
Bristol City v Stoke

Leeds v Barnsley

Charlton v Wigan
Blackburn v Reading
Fulham v Sheff Wed
Huddersfield v West Brom
Hull v Luton
Middlesbrough v Cardiff
Preston v Birmingham
QPR v Millwall
Stoke v Brentford

Barnsley v Nottm Forest

Birmingham v Derby
Brentford v Barnsley
Cardiff v Hull
Leeds v Charlton
Luton v Blackburn
Millwall v Huddersfield
Nottm Forest v Stoke
Reading v Swansea
Sheffield Wed v Middlesbrough
West Brom v QPR
Wigan v Fulham

To be honest, with current form and fixtures, discounting potential points deductions for the time being, I can't really see past the current bottom 3, and of the rest, Birmingham seem to be the dodgiest but that would require a significant turn around from one of the bottom 3.

Of the potential points deductions, I think it would be massively unfair on Wigan, although I don't really know what alternative there is and Sheffield Wednesday would be fully deserved but I reckon it would be 6 or 9 points and/or a fine but not enough to relegate. I just don't think the EFL have the balls to do it to one of the bigger clubs in the league.

I've no love for Wigan but from the bits I understand, I really hope they don't go down.

Clotet been given the boot early by Brum, no surprise at all that.

The statement yesterday from the EFL basically said they are getting the 12 point reduction. Force Majeure is Wigan's only route out of this but that will be difficult to prove.

Our very own Michael Morrison just did a brief interview on TalkSport about what Clotet was like and this sacking. Reading only got a very brief mention.

Fairly standard sound bites really (I had it on in the background while working so wasn't paying 100% attention!)

Was quite complimentary about Clotet and his time at Birmingham. Think Garry Monk also got a brief mention as another Brum manager he'd worked under.

The couple of Reading bits were questions about what it was like coming back after lockdown and how we've got Charlton at the weekend and how they've have a couple of good results recently. Not much about Reading themselves at all really.

My fault that, am married to Stoke fan so means games will always be draws.

Would expect Stoke to beat Brum at the weekend but now the latter have changed manager that'll be tougher. Can't see any points coming elsewhere. Wigan have a 7pt gap so need 2 more wins than Stoke and given the Wigan run-in, that is very possible.

Leeds showing their complete dominance this evening. Best side in the Championship by a country mile.

Not to be all OMA and cream my knickers over Leeds, but they played the best football I've seen any team play in the league and All divisions and all countries tonight. Better then Liverpool and Real Madrid even.
