Bring on any team, more often than not Reading FC perform better when playing better teams with no expectation

I sort of see where he is coming from but disagree. I would be very surprised if we were open enough to get a hammering away like he is suggested. More likely we will play as we did up at Huddersfield and keep a lot more disciplined. Strangely enough I almost fancy us more in the away leg, whereas at home the emphasis will be on us to get a couple of goals up which could lead to being too open to breaks

Top Flight I'm well up for a match against Fulham. A short trip to the Cottage with thousands of Reading Fans, it will be an amazing occasion. Someone will have to deal with Fulham at some point if we are going to go to the Premier League. Why not let it be us at the semi final stage. Stam knows Fulham inside out now. He has tried different tactics against them and found a solution to their style when we beat them 1-0 at the Mad Stad. It won't be easy, but we certainly have a chance. I think our chances are rated at 50/50 to knock them out.

If we do go face them at the Cottage on the Saturday then one thing I have learned is not to buy the delicious sausage that they sell for a fiver. That sausage has brought nothing but bad luck. I indulged at half time last season when we were 1-0 up. Before I started eating it we went 2-0 up thanks to a great goal by Orlando Sa but before I could finish the damn thing we were behind. I blame that collapse on the sausage. This season I had the sausage before the game even started and it was disaster right from the get go starting with Premier League quality right back Chris Gunter putting the ball into his own net. I will not be eating anything at the ground this time around, I will give Reading the best chance of luck by doing all the right superstitious things that I usually do that brings success. That means, I have to have my first coffee on the morning of the match out of my Reading FC mug and I must wear my blue boxer shorts. On top of that at Fulham I will not eat their sausage or anything else in their ground. By taking those steps, I will be doing my bit to ensure that we win.

Thanks Toppy - you've really calmed my nerves now. I know we can depend on you to take one for the team and remain hungry.

We're the best team in the league except maybe Newcastle, we shouldn't fear anyone.

No point being scared now as Hudds and SW are no doubt also scared ******** of Fulham and will therefore also throw their final games making Reading's attempt today utterly meaningless.

If rather Fulham in the Semi Finals followed a Wembley meeting with Sheffield Wednesday in the final. We know how to beat them.

Huddersfield to me is too much of an unknown quantity and a team enjoying it because they got there is more dangerous than a team who expects a lot of the time (ie Blackpool)

Watts was a brilliant reporter we were spoilt really. That's what has made the drop in quality obvious. Altho I must admit Low is a bloody donkey and the sooner he goes back to Portsmouth/Bournemouth wherever he is from the better

As an ubiased view (i.e. I don't want either you or Fulham to go up) and having seen both Fulham and Reading play the Bees twice this season I think Fulham are quite a way ahead of Reading in terms of performance.

We've heard that quite a bit this year, and yet....we finish well above them in the league and keep winning games. We also don't lose at home to teams like Wolves when the pressure is on.

They are obviously a good side, but are clearly beatable. And to be honest we didn't play especially well in either game against your lot

Thing is, we don't have to go to Fulham looking for a win (3pts). We can afford to be cautious as we're not chasing anything by trying to win the game.

We can then be more open at home and hopefully progress

Can a stats enthusiast on here either provide or point me in the direction of a line graph of both Fulham and Reading's progress over the course of this season please? I think they started off badly and picked up as the season progressed
