The WSL would like to see the back of us and get a big club like Lewes in. It’s been a nice PR stunt by the owners but the harsh reality is no one’s interested. They would be better off going amateur, the club supply kit and training ground. I can see them getting some embarrassing thrashing’s this season.

Interesting going forward as they have a bloody good scouting network at grassroots level
Two of our U11's are currently looking at trials and they always pick up on local talent a lot quicker then the mens scouts do

The only bit that I agree with is that the WSL would probably prefer to see us replaced by the women's team from another EPL club.

Oh, and the decision by Reading FC to apply to have their women's team play at the highest level(s) in England was taken more than a decade ago.

Not only that, but there is a lot of investment in the women's game now as well, I don't know the exact figures, but I know someone involved with the FA (at county level) that say it is financially viable, and will continue to be, for clubs that have a women's team, even more so playing at the top level of the game as well.

I believe that the Berks and Bucks FA have not been overly impressed by Reading wanting to play the Senior Cup matches behind closed doors- good on them !!! Hence why spectators are rightly allowed to watch the Wycombe game on Sunday.

This could be very painful viewing anything less than 5-0 will be a good result.

Got to HT but that really was poor by the keeper. One or two good moves by the Royals but the ball in the final third when a chance is opening, has been shockingly bad.
