Long holdup around 80 mins - serious leg injury to Royals defender Kristine Leine.
F-T 1-1 decent point- much better performance than last Sunday.

Good performance and result. They actually had a few good chances to win it.

Commentator on FAPlayer was so far up Arsenal's arse that I'm surprised he didn't shoot out of Beth Mead's mouth!

In his world pretty much everything seemed to be down to Arsenal not performing well, rather than anything good from Reading. Grace Maloney made a fantastic save in the second half and the commentator just talked about it being a difficult chance for the striker!

To make matters worse, he was appalling at recognising even our internationally famous players. Repeatedly referred to what Jess Fishlock was doing when it was actually Eikeland. Eikeland was playing as a striker and has long blond hair tied in a pony tail. Jess Fishlock MBE was playing in the midfield and has short blond hair with a distinctive top knot!

Sadly looks a really bad injury to Leine (ACL?) who was having one of her best games for us. She did brilliantly in making a goal saving challenge in the area but her momentum carried her into a fast closing Grace Maloney. You heard the scream as they collided.

Not helped by an appalling referee - the non-award of a penalty after 12 mins for a clear barge by their keeper to take out Bruton was scandalous - but our women were architects of their own misfortune. They had plenty of opportunities to put the game well beyond Villa but spurned them. Carter and Eikeland in particular both wasted absolutely golden opportunities to score.

White ball swapped during second half to try to improve visibility in really heavy snow but the yellow ball then brought on seemed just as invisible. For the TV audience it even became a question of spot the player, let alone the ball!

Great result for the women. That 6 minutes of injury time must have felt like 6 hours to them.

I think it did for those not on the pitch. However, the camera caught Lily Woodham with a massive smile on her face when there was still a couple of minutes to go. Not surprising, as at that point our players seemed first to every ball.

The game should feature quite highly on The Women's Football Show on BBC2 at 11.30pm tonight (will also be on iPlayer).
