Leeds at home if anyone cares. They’ll bring 4000 as usual compared to the few remaining diehard Reading fans that will still make the effort to come along and watch the dross.
Leeds are struggling. Only one win since Boxing Day which has earned 8 points from their last 12 games (0.67 ppg). So another game that is winnable then. Just like Bolton, Birmingham, Burton
Reading's current league record is 1 win in the last 15 attempts and that was at Burton. Then there's 1 clean sheet in the last 16 attempts (0-0 at Hull). Even worse is the utterly unacceptable home form that has seen 0 (ZERO) Saturday wins at all this season and it’s ******* March for pete’s sake.
Reading's ppg is now a whopping 0.6 over the last 15 games so some upward movement from the 0.5s that it’s been hovering around for the last few weeks.
Leeds are a little stretched at the back with Shaughnessy already out long term and now Leigh Cooper picking up an injury in the Wolves game. Kemar Roofe is also doubtful and there is also some issue with the keepers as Wiedwald got a lot of stick for the defeat to Middlesbrough last week and was replaced with youngster Bailey Peacock-Farrell (who actually didn’t do too badly in the Wolves game).
Richards and McCleary are crocked now. No idea if Yann will be back, not that it’ll make much difference Swift made a brief appearance v Bolton and Holmes gave a decent performance on his debut but will no doubt disappear from the first team for the rest of the season. Heaven knows what team selection or frankly bemusing formation will be attempted next but I’m sure it’ll be entertaining. Not.
Please though, if you are a diehard still going along to watch the dross, try to get behind the team and support etc and save any negativity until the final whistle
