Usually at the final whistle I am one of the first out the door and rushing to the car park but had to stay and applaud the team on Saturday, what a superb effort. I wonder if Stam followed the game, it would be nice to think he was sat there anonymously sampling what might have been were he not so damn stubborn.
Nice to see Blackett getting some recognition at last, I have said before there is a half-decent footballer in there somewhere - give the boy a chance. Biggest shock of the day for me was to find Joey in the team, hopefully now the new management has seen what he is capable of - or should I say NOT capable of he can follow Stam out of the door.
