The Reverend Smith ahead of Martin. That's a call!

Bacuna and Evans into midfield too

I thought Martin was awful against QPR. Actually every time I’ve seen him he has been awful. At least Smith will give a bit of work rate

Shame Kelly and Bod aren't in, but I'm guessing still not available. Hard to argue with those calls.

Smith should offer more pace and pressing than Martin who looked slow, plodding and isolated against QPR. Bacuna and Evans should offer much the same skill and combativeness as Swift and Berg, just distributed a little more evenly.

Much the same approach as with QPR hopefully. Keep it tight and compact. Press them where we can and break hard when we get the chance.

Agreed about Kelly and Bod. Pleased to see Smith and Bacuna in but would have preferred Swift in the team too. Don’t see much creativity in central midfield.

Villa havnt looked that solid at the back recently. I think if we use our pace wisely we might get something.

That Villa bench is pretty impressive.

Pleased with tonight's changes..... possibly Swift is not fit but Joey & Martin did little to impress last game

To be fair the names at Villa over the last 2 season's have been quite impressive they just haven't cut the mustard with real consistency. This as well as our boost gained from a win allied to PC having another couple of sessions getting organised gives me and I'm sure a few others among us at least a bit of hope we may get something from this evening's game.

Don't bet myself. (Don't like to tempt fate). I genuinely wish you all the best with that one.

Not sure we can read too much into the chamges except Martin possibly. Swift is still coming back but tbf they all looked unfit after about 70 mins.

Good to see Smith back in.

Sounds like a "backs to the wall" job tonight - pretty much all Villa so far

Edwards already booked. Unconvinced we have enough mobility in central midfield.

Giving them a false sense of security IMO.

Have never rated Martin. No idea how he’s scored so many goals in the Chump. Has always reminded me of the Pog
