Nothing RFC related on getreading/IYA

by Rax » 21 Jul 2018 21:51

Bizarre this - ever since getreading decided to become "in your area" - there's been no RFC news at all - literally nothing!

Any reason for this?

Havent bothered with that dreadful website for months. Try the Chronicle. Not perfect of course but stil better than what was the old EP.

inyourarea is terrible. The quality of writing is abysmal.

Regarding the Central Club, the journalist wrote "Black of flats" instead of "Block of flats"..........

Gave up on Get Reading / In Your Area last January when they wanted me to register my postcode and followed that by needing me to enter a code every time I visited the site. Have never visited the site since.......if it ain't broke don't mend it.
Use the Chronicle very occasionally now.

They have moved to a London page for some reason
https://www.football.london/reading-fc/

The reading FC page on get reading takes you to that london page now,for a few days it was the old get reading page with no news updates

There is a dedicated link to RFC on the "in your area" site but there's no point bothering.

It's just a re-hash of stuff either from the national press or on here.

i cannot remember Low ever coming up with an exclusive transfer story.

Yeah it’s all moved to dedicated football pages which imo is much better than the old GR site

Also useful is the https://championshipnews.co.uk/team/reading site, as it has stories from both national and local papers, the club itself, and various other sources.
Warning, take a look at the source of the strory before clicking on the link, some of the sites are horrendous. Also for some of the Sky articles there I cannot for the life of me work out what the link back to Reading is.
