I know we won’t but id like to see something like this.

Have Meyler sitting a little deeper and maybe switch McShane around with Ilori.

I hope we get a result on Friday despite my pessimism
Listening to Talk Sport today who are covering the game live. Its a total Frank Lampard love fest. TS are going to be devastated if we win
Frank Senior and Dodgy Uncle Rednapp are apparently giving Fwank advice.
Their team captain is also confident of a good season.

(Do you remember Tommy Burns first season. I too was full of it. We went to Wrexham full of confidence and we got stuffed 3-0 or something)

I would just Love it, just love it!
C'mon you Royals

If Frank Senior gives his son advice the same way he used to give Rodgers advice then we're definitely on for three points.

"On paper, we're a Premier League club", Derby boss Frank Lampard reiterated on Wednesday...

For this match or in general?

Blackett is suspended and we really don't have the players for a back 3. I honestly don't understand the obsession with a back 3 on here. Ian even put Gunter as a CB in his ideal formation!

We would get absolutely murdered down the left flank. Barrow is almost terminally incapable of doing any defensive work. Got to be wing backs who can defend a bit if you're playing three at the back.

He's done it for us and Wales ok in the past. It was only with the expectation Moore is gone, knowing Blackett was suspended and there is no way I'm picking O'Shea.
It's hardly an ideal line up, just my preferred one given who was available.

Yes, of course I’m looking forward to it.

It’s football. It’s my team playing football. At the Madejski. See old friends, have a pint, have a laugh, hope to see the ’Ding put a few goals past the Rams. Enjoy winning. Enjoy moaning if we don’t perform. Play Devil’s advocate and try to find something positive about Aluko. Tricky that last one, but worth a go.

I like Lampard. Great professional, smart bloke, eloquent and informative pundit. Of course, I want to see his managerial career start with a sound beating at the hands of the much unfancied and frequently derided Reading, but after that, good luck to the fella.

Seriously; if you're already despondent and resigned before the season even starts you may want to take a long hard look at yourself and question wether this sport is really for you. All over the country supporters at Grimsby, Plymouth, Rochdale, Charlton et al are all getting ready to follow their teams with the feeling it could be their season, or it could be relegation. For most clubs, that's what it's about. We're no longer any different.

Football. Beer. Mates. It's back.

He has? I don't remember that. When did we use him in a back 3? Did we win the game/games?

I do remember him playing there but not as a starting CB. Think it change of tactic when we went 3 at the back and pushed on the LB (Bacuna?) whilst losing. Also think he filled in when we had an injury during the game.

Another +1 for AR here, I really don't get the rampant negativity before a ball has even been kicked, even considering the fact we are playing against the second coming of total football thanks to the legend Fwank.

BTW is Moore officially not playing or has someone on twitter decided that will be the case and everyone is just following that line?

Think Clement stated something along those lines.
