NathStPaul Incredibly happy to have been part of the Martinez journey. I am not one for following the careers of ex-Reading players too closely but I really saw something in Martinez when he was with us, you could see he was way above Championship level and could go all the way to the top. He is now an established Premier League keeper and first choice for his country, easily one of the better Premier League keepers too in my opinion.

Arsenal really picked the wrong horse didn't they? Martinez > Leno.

Agreed. Feels like his time with us was a sliding doors moment for his career. If the loan hadn't happened and his stock raised as a result, then I doubt he would be anywhere near the level he is now at.

Played 16 games in a relegation battle season for us. I feel nothing but indifference for the bloke.

Corrected for you.

Aluko and Baldock are triallists at Derby County.

Omar Richards is currently Bayern Munich’s No.1 left back with both Hernandez injured & Davies out for the season.

If they sign there, they are guaranteed to score the goals in a 2-0 win.

Only because they’ll play to those players strengths.

If Derby can get them for half to a third of their Reading wages, they've actually got some decent reserve players to fight relegation

They have strengths?
Someone told me Baldock was a striker once.
As for Aluko, couldn't even do a job for a Chinese pub team.
Derby deserve them.

Richards played the 1st half today in a 3-2 friendly defeat v Cologne.

Very likely to start in the cup at non-league Bremer SV in a couple of weeks.

True. I’d happily lose 10-0 to Derby if it means we get rid of them both

Stooopid post tbf

Aluko had decent cameos for us last season.
Will do the same for any team at this level.

We have GOT rid of both of them. They are no longer on our books and are free agents, so I would rather we won 10-0 against Derby!

Sorry I worded it badly, I meant I’m so pleased to have ditched them, a 10-0 defeat to derby I would accept in return if needs be

Derby fans seem happy with Alukos performance against Man Utd today. The overall consensus is...Sign him,so far

Baldock also gets some praise for holding the ball up and has been noted as possibly being a useful sub option by one fan

Aluko would always be a decent signing on a free. He did step up his game a little bit in some matches for us later, last season and looked a threat on occasions. Unfortunately he cost us a fortune

Yeah Aluko was expensive but perfectly competent. Baldock has been a complete waste of time for two or three years though.

That's a very short memory.

Aluko was utter shit for three years before being OK in small cameos last season.

Whilst Baldock was decent in injury hit seasons for a couple of years before going on to contribute nothing more recently.

Baldock > Aluko for me.
