Mark McKeever. Whatever happened to him? Remember he was a sterling little player on loan for us

Mark never really made it in league football (just about 60 apps for a handful of clubs across 7 years) and drifted down to play for, mainly, Weston-Super-Mare. He only ever managed 2 league goals, both came in a short loan spell at Reading.

Injury forced his retirement in 2009.

The only time I got a decent LOL from those sitting around me. Andy Bernal comes into pitch with us 6-0 down as a sub.

Scored away to Stoke on his debut, a covincing 4-0 win. I remember listening to some of the game on the radio and thinking maybe we've signed that one player we need to turn things around.

McKeever was simply blinding with space, skill, pure determination, and the ability both to score and set up his striking partner
He got the winner in the next game too 1-0 v Bournemouth
