I don't give a sh1t if this was 'posted in the wrong forum', there is no wrong forum. Awareness of racism might help to reduce incidents and c**ts like this.
For all the ignorant arseholes who underestimate both the volume and impact of racism; how would you feel if you or your loved one was treated differently due to their skin tone. The same applies to religion and sexual orientation?

The one good thing to come out of this is that there is genuine discussion about the incidents over the last few weeks, rather than brushing them under the carpet as one off occurrences

It’s good to see the likes of SSN talking about it and attempting to tackle the problem face on

There are no easy answers of course. Society had changed over the last few years with genuine nastiness over Social media and unfortunately sone dog whistle politics taking centre stage as well

Without trying to cause offence, this problem will never be eradicated in football or certainly not for a very long time. There's the impact of social media, people trying to be funny and show off to their friends (even though it isn't funny in the slightest) or people are just generally idiots

I think whilst it's sad to say it, players need to now walk onto the pitch and be prepared for any racial comments, not a nice thing to say, but it's just occurring too much now

But, I'd argue punishments like points deductions, empty stadiums, relegations etc are a load of nonsense. How is it fair for a club to be punished when it's generally just one idiot, you cannot control a whole stadium of people

????? Now I'm as guilty as the next person for going off the deep end ... but this is just, well .... I honestly didn't think this sort of rubbish was still spouted on "open" forums. Presumably action will follow??? Not that I understand Twittter.

I'm really confused as to why Wigan's odd on relegation are so high

To me, they look to have the hardest run in. Whilst us and Rotherham have a fair few teams with nothing much to play for, they have Hull (a), Norwich (h) and Leeds (a) in their next 3 games.

After that they have Preston (h) - local derby against a team with a great away record, and a tough Brum (a) game. Rounding off with a potential must win Millwall (h)

I'd expect them to get a max of 2 points from their next 3 games.

To be honest I think it's Reading v Rotherham v Wigan with the loser joining Ipswich and Bolton is division 3.

Remaining games...

10 April

Hull v Wigan
Norwich v Reading
Rotherham v Villa

13 April

Reading Brentford
Stoke v Rotherham

14 April

Wigan v Norwich

19 April

Bristol City v Reading
Leeds v Wigan
Swansea v Rotherham

22 April

Reading v WBA
Rotherham v Birmingham
Wigan v Preston

27 April

Birmingham v Wigan
Middlesbrough v Reading
WBA v Rotherham

5 May

Reading v Birmingham
Rotherham v Middlesbrough
Wigan v Millwall

It's certainly going to be completely unpredictable - let's all hope Reading have a miracle result in them somewhere.

Its an absolutely horrible run in.....Im worried we might only pick up 4 points max out of that.....The Brentford game being the pinnacle. :(

We have exactly the same opponents as Rotherham over the past 3 games.

The next 3 games will dictate a lot - our game against Norwich is clearly the toughest we could wish for but Brentford are 20th for away form this season with just 2 wins all season - exactly the team you want to play at home - they are also on a run of 1 win in 6 and none in 5.

Bristol City - who the hell knows? Follow up away wins at Sheffield United and Boro with a home draw V Wigan.

As for Rotherham - Villa are on a run of 6 straight wins, Stoke haven't let in a goal since before time began and not lost in 9 and Swansea are undefeated at home this year and won the last 4 home games with an aggregate of 9-1 over that time.

Both very tough but perhaps on balance our next 3 our a little more favourable.

Can honestly see Wigan losing the next 3 (Hull (a), Norwich (H), Leeds (a)) and them possibly being in the bottom 3 at that point.

I reckon it will go down to the wire and goal difference may be the decider.

Brentford Saturday would have been a challenging fixture a month ago. and maybe it will, but while they are a good free scoring home side on the road they don`t appear to be so good, 8 goals their last 10 away games with 6 of them coming in 2 of those games (4 at Rotherham and 2 including a OG at Boro)
It won`t be easy but I`m very confident this weekend.

Hopefully people are right but I get the feeling that Brentford are being underestimated.
On their day they are one of the best 2 or 3 attacking sides in the whole division IMHO and our record against them in recent years is not so hot (I remember them tonking us 4-1 in the Stam play-off season).

I would be happy with a point ; every point will be precious as it is unlikely that any of the teams in trouble will get that many before the season's end.

I really wouldn't describe it as a horror run at all.

Its challenging, but other than playing QPR, what isn't? Brentford (won 2 away all season), Brum (lost last 3 away) at home - 2 mid table sides. WBA (lost 2 of last 3 away) will not have much to play for.

Away, Boro are abysmal (lost last 4 at home) and Brizzle very inconsistent (Last four home games: 1-2 vs Brum, 1-1 vs Ipswich, 0-1 vs Leeds, 2-2 vs Wigan). Couldn't ask to play two teams with worse current home form

It could be a hell of a lot worse. Only Norwich is a write off really

No one is underestimating Brentford but if you look at their away record this season:

P20 W2 D8 L10 F20 A33 Pts 14

Only Millwall, Ipswich, Wigan & Rotherham are worse (even we've managed 1 more point on the road).

Any team in a relegation battle would want to face them at this point - they have been awful away from home (they are superb at home, only the top 3 are better) - this is a game that I think we absolutely target for 3 points and it really should be.

This is hardly a wet Tuesday night up North, it is a local derby with an expected decent following for them so I don't see their record as that convincing.
As I said earlier I hope you are right.

Well their 2 wins were way up north. Yes the local element makes it a bit more interesting but I stand by the point if Brentford were playing any of our rivals with that record, most would have it down as a banker home win. As someone once said, football is a funny old game but this along with Brum and now Boro are exactly the kind of games we should want in a run in.

if you look at my (heavily edited) post above, all the teams we play after Wednesday are actually on piss poor away if we play them at home, and at home if we play them away

We really should be getting 8 points+. Whether we will is a different matter

I listened to the BBC Berks commentary

Tim Dellor was on the money early on refusing to acknowledge we would stay up based on the gap we had when we went 1-0 up.

Mick Gooding says the biggest worry is that Rotherham have a fighting spirit to win 2-1 after being hammered 6-1, He's not sure Reading would be able to do that and he's probably right

A caller said "Reading seem incapable of playing tow halfs the same", which is fair comment.

we showed fighting spirit to get a draw at Sheff Weds, to win against Wigan, to beat a Preston side on a 6 game winning run. We got spanked by Leeds, then went away to Stoke and got a good draw

The Rotherham are fighters/we are bottlers thing is massively overdone for me. Just a cliche. Rotherham have been handy at home/shit away all season

Actually, I agree you can't control the whole stadium, but you can control sections.

Take the incident in the Motherwell/Rangers game at the weekend. If the relevant authority made it a rule that either the culprit was pointed out by the crowd section or that whole section was escorted out, there may be some movement to stop it. I can't see a whole section being happy with missing the rest of a game. It would prevent an opposition fan causing a problem to get a stadium closed or a game abandoned. (It'll give the stewards something to do as well)

May work for the racist stuff as well, although may be a little more difficult to identify someone shouting than throwing something.

Good luck forcing 50 to 1000 innocent people to leave with 20 tangos.
