Get the overground from London Bridge to Charlton, that's just round the corner from the Valley

I think that is how I did it last time.

Last time I did Reading -> Padders -> Tube to Waterloo -> short walk to Waterloo East -> Charlton. Not too bad.

Last time I went there was the 2-1 League Cup loss, where we witnessed a Bongani Khumalo masterclass

You're both wrong; the way to get to Charlton is RDG -> Paddo -> tube Covent Garden [beers] -> walk to Charing Cross -> overground to Charlton

If you're in Cov Garden then London Bridge is the correct place to be going for beers

so utterly bored of this season break so far, I'm almost excited (or at least slightly interested) about getting the new fixtures.

Always look forward to fixture day, it's just a step towards the season starting. The main ones I always look for is opening day and a couple of fixtures beyond that, Christmas period, Easter period and last few games of the season. Also always look for likes of Brentford, Fulham away etc...

Would like a Friday night game again ideally, and hopefully a London ground away. No doubt we'll get something like Blackburn away - not in a hurry to return there again!

Really not a fan of Fulham away. Attracts all the day tripper tossers that should be in a local pub shouting at Spurs on the TV

Don’t particularly agree, you have a few day trippers but that will generally always be the case for a London away day. Thoroughly enjoyed the playoff away day a couple of years back. Then again, everyone has different experiences at games so you probably are right

It’s the ones like Arsenal/United cup away games which are the worst. Went to the Emirates a couple of years back and it was really unenjoyable, people who clearly had no idea what was going on, just there to see big names. Each to their own I suppose

I think Fulham NYD is brilliant for me as i hardly drink and my daughter will be home from Uni. Also Charlton away over Easter is perfect.

Living in Sussex I live nearer to London than Reading so cheaper day out.
