morganb This week's Sky Sports Podcast has a "Football Manager predicts the final Championship table" section

https://www.skysports.com/football/news ... ship-table

It predicts that Reading will finish 9th

Andy Hinchcliffe doesn't think that FM has got the play-off spots correct (Swansea, Bristol City, Fulham, Nottingham Forest) - from these four he'd give Reading more chance of reaching the play-offs than all but Fulham!

I doubt Bristol or Swansea will get top 6

Right now, teams will be fearing playing us. Forest, as our next game and fellow playoff chaser have won here once in 10 years, and have lost here in the last 4 visits, it’s a massive opportunity for us

Oilroyal Much talk of a top half finish. From what I’ve seen, if we can keep players fit then this is a top 6 team all day long.

I hope so. I stuck £30 on it at 16-1 the day after the window closed.

I actually put money on for automatic ... but don’t tell anyone.

Me and mates had a collective bet of £70 @ 5/2 with Skybet for top half finish , we could currently cash out for £145 but are holding our nerve

I put a big bet on a top half finish on similar odds after the Cardiff game and also another for top 6 at 10/1. I thought that money was down the tubes but now feel a bit more optimistic! Mind you I also backed Puscas as top Championship scorer after his brace that game. That has gone less well.

Also on at 16-1 for playoffs. Mere £4 stake. Looked absurd a few weeks ago. But ya never know...

What happened to that "super computer" that said we were getting relegated?

Perhaps they turned it into a vending machine.

We've got the hardest next 6 games in the league. After that 6 we have Brom (2nd), Wednesday (8th), Leeds (1st), but after that we play every team from 16th to 24th in a 9 game run. In 9 games time if we're 5-7 points off the playoffs we should be able to launch a really strong challenge.

Skewed somewhat but by playing Forest twice in that 6 game run. Bristol City are falling apart and we have nothing to fear from Cardiff or Hull - Millwall will be tough.

No reason we can't pick up 9 to 12 points in that run.

Remember any run with us in there will look easy on paper for our opposition as we are 14th but realistically we are one of the better sides in the division at this point in time.
