Actually think this team has a run in them so:

Birmingham - Win
Barnsley - Win
Stoke - Draw
Derby - Win
QPR - Draw

11 points - takes us to 32 from 23 which will be a very healthy return for the first half of the season - will give us a chance to look up rather than down, and hope we have the ability to follow it up.

Snowflake Royal
URZZZZ URZZZZ- 3 out of 5
Zip - 4 out of 5
Hound - 2 out of 5
Royalp-we - 4 out of 5 (unlucky!)
Snowflake Royal - 3 out of 5
Royal Jimmy - 5 out of 5! (sort of)

Not bad guesses here

So.
Next 5 -
Brum (H) 15th - WLLDDD
Barnsley (A) 24th - DLLLW?
Stoke (A) 23rd - WWLL??
Derby (H) 14th - WLD???
QPR (H) 16th - LD????

Lot of points available there

W,W,W,W,W :D

On a serious point it seems to me that the next 5 are all winnable. And boy do we need to win a lot of them as the run of games from Preston A onward in January/February is horrific - 5 away games against top sides and 2 tough home games and then 4 more games the following month that are all tough too.

But a good run here could set us up and give is confidence for the first 11 games of the second half - 10 of which are against sides in the current top half of the table. At least we then have a relatively easy run in!!

Agreed that the Preston-Leeds run is tough but the last 12 games, you could argue we could/should win 9 or 10 of those - it a pretty decent run-in.

Realistically 10-12 points in this run and we can take that confidence into that tougher run of 11 or so games.

Even the 11th game is against Millwall who are 13th and only outside the top half by goal difference

But, times and situations are constantly evolving. Preston seem to be on a bit of bad form, QPR which would have been seen as a difficult game 6 weeks ago now looks straightforward, same with Charlton etc

We are going to lose at least one of those games I reckon. Could see Stoke beating us.

I think Bowen goes up there with something to say.

January fixtures look a tougher than December’s

Fulham (A)
Forest (H)
Millwall (A)
Forest (A)
Bristol (H) - assuming the game is still played in January
Cardiff (A)

Realistically with all the playoff talks we’ll need to get 10 points IMO. We usually beat Forest and Bristol at home and then try and pick up 4 points from the away games

Trouble is we never seem to do well at Forest or Millwall. Big month ahead

A source has told me the club is in negotiations with the EFL to ensure our next five fixtures are against Preston.

In which case...

Seems realistic to me. Win at Millwall, point at Fulham, Forest or Cardiff.

Our run in is a dream; the target for Jan and Feb simply has to be staying in touch with top 6.

EFL has ruled the Preston v Reading game has to be replayed
because some of Rafael's saves were not with his hands

Yep, stay in touch for now the hope - see where we are in mid Feb

Win the home games and nick one of those tough away ones and I’ll be pretty happy

Fulham (A) L
Forest (H) W
Millwall (A) D
Forest (A) D
Bristol (H) W
Cardiff (A) D

Last 6 games

Fulham W2, D1 L3, 7pts
H2-0-1 A0-1-2

Forest W2 D2 L2, 8pts
H1-1-1 A1-1-1

Millwall W2 D3 L1. 9pts
H1-1-1 A1-2-0

Bristol W2 D0 L4, 6pts
H1-0-2 A1-0-2

Cardiff W2 D3 L1. 9pts
H1-2-0 A1-1-1

Us W3 D2 L1. 11pts
H2-0-1 A1-2-0

I guess what I'm trying to say is it's 6 fairly evenly matched teams on current form.

Why have the FL started scheduling fixtures on FA Cup 4th round day? Bet most are postponed. Certainly with both Reading and Bristol C at home to lower league opponents in the 3rd round the chances are that their fixture at the Mad Stad will be off.
