What and miss the cricket.

That’s also been cancelled.

And all this because Callum Hudson-Odoi gets a cold.

2 world wars, 1 world cup Sorry if anyone's asked this, what happens to our bets? I betted on Reading ending up in top half. If we don't get to finish the season at all will I get money back? If we had been 12th or above would I win anyway? Hoping it's the former!!!

Betted?

I see that's an archaic form of the past tense.

Thanks for educating me.

Thou shalt ne'er catch me making such an error again.

You may notice I did not actually correct you sir. I suspected it was not correct but as Snowflake Royal had not yet grammar nazi'd you I was worried it might be acceptable.

Haha that's ok. You're right it's not technically incorrect just archaic, but tbh I didn't know that, I was just being plain thick.

UPDATE

20-1 against me having it, maybe 10-1 (Italy, all symptoms but no fever)

Result not yet in.

But I came home lunchtime last Friday and there were five
refugees at my place. "My" two and three regular visitors.

I was feeling headache etc so dialled 111 and then told the boys
to leave, not to come round until I was tested and cleared.

It MIGHT not be connected but one of those boys is now sick
in bed (in another lodging) with cough and chest pains

windermereROYAL i think the logical thing to do would be postpone the leagues, then play the remaining games late May and June because I think Euro 2020 will be put off till next year.
Start next season in September and cancel the cup comps.

Its going to be very strange stopping the season for 2 months and restarting it isn't it? Agreed it might be the only option - but aren't they suggesting May is when it will peak here? Are we just giving up on trying to contain it at that stage?

Going to be strange with player contracts as well - I suppose do-able if we finish in June

Going to completely mess with my year's routines this virus :(

You cant stop it for 2 months.....its crazy......Many players wont have trained properly still, the virus may still be around and some players may contract it late, theres going to be some very bitter club owners and fans after this......

No easy way around this is there and some very difficult decisions to be made, May/June could well be converted into June/July, add the three month normal summer break and we are talking October for the next season. , that just impossible with `pre-seson preperation and trying to get all fixtures in before May 2021, give us a clue how to get out of tis unprecendended shitfest?

No doubt it will be cancelled eventually - but Eastleigh will be my team of choice.

Looks like the 3 National League divisions are the only leagues playing now. Would imagine they’ll also follow suit after tomorrow though.

I think we’ll not see the rest of the games played. Even going behind closed doors is problematic if teams have players ill.
If it is cancelled then promotion and relegation have to be declared null and void. Titles should still be awarded to teams currently top. I hope no one is top by virtue of having played an extra game....

This. I would expect that the league seasons around Europe would resume mid May and finish end of June.

Euros could then be postponed until next summer.

Maybe season 20/21 to begin in September

Perhaps we might see no replays in FA Cup games next season and extra games like the Super Cup and World Club Championship suspended. Perhaps also the Nations League could be suspended to reduce the number of international breaks so as league seasons can finish by mid May and all should then be on target for the Euros.

Just have to wait and see though - plenty of discussion to be had on what might or might not be done, might even find everything back in April after all

Yes! With thanks to the meerkats!

Numbers are very much reduced so it's easy to avoid close contact with individuals. Plenty of room in the screens themselves so you can sit where you like away from others and, dare I say it, in the premium seats! My wife and I went earlier this week and have planned to go again next week. My wife is Type 1 diabetic so may not risk it though!

Sutekh All FL games postponed, currently until weekend 3/4 April.
Stoke, Derby and Brentford games now to be rearranged.

I had planned to give the Stoke game a miss anyway. It wasn't the fear of catching the virus in the stadium itself but I was wary of travelling on the crowded football bus!
