All you can do is to try to win the next game and see where it takes you.

I am hoping we can at least make top half (as I have money on it!)

Bigtimmeh Let's face it - we make it to the playoffs then lose them we will be scared of another collapse next season.

We make it to the playoffs and win them we will just be humiliated in the PL.

Better to just missout on them make some good signings in the summer and push for it next season .

With the amount of money for promotion, with good recruitment, anyone who goes up can stay up.

I think it's more than just having the money, it's knowing how to spend it. Recent pl history shows very clearly that spending a load of money alone isn't a guarantee of anything...look at man u spending compared to Liverpool, Aston villa and Norwich this season, West ham and Newcastle spent loads too (more than a promotion team could) and it hasn't helped them...

We could do it but I doubt it, 8 points gap with 9 games to go wouldn’t be easy, especially with so many teams between us and sixth place.

What happens to my bet for a top half finish if the season is written off?

What happens to a bet on a match if it is abandoned ?
Presumably the bet is void.

People worried about our finances but we could easily be playing in the Prem next year.

If the season doesn't get voided then I think we will see a few surprises in the finals stages of each EFL league.

I'm not suggesting it will be us, but some of the teams who were in form will come back sluggish and off the pace, whilst those who were struggling may return with a new found vigour. Add to that the return of mid term injured players (Joao being our example), and I think there will be some twists.

Agree, if the season resumes, the mix of varying levels of fitness between players, possible impact of behind closed doors football, maybe neutral venues and as you say some longer term injuries being overcome, it will lead to some interesting results I’d think.

This is the season we will finally win a play-off final... but you're not going to see it.

Judging by our players instagrams we're oxf*rd. Gunters probably done his hamstring mowing McClearys lawn, Puscas seems depressed and McIntyres turned into a professional gamer.

I know our last playoff was bad but surely they'd still televise it?

Only if miraculously half of it goes bust and we don't.

HE said ‘year’ not ‘season’.
I think ‘easily’ might be a bit optimistic but if we kept the current squad, a couple of the youngsters develop as they seem likely to and we made a couple of astute signings it’s not inconceivable we’d be a decent playoff shout next year....
