Hound was it AC Milan who were in for him in Jan?

Definitely some other options there. Morsy I like and has been mentioned as well.

I think they were the best side except Brentford I watched last season strangely. They murdered us that day

yes but those link have cooled. Currently it is a whole host of premier league clubs linked. Everton fans want him back despite having the best LB last season.

Anybody know who this guy is on Twitter?

https://mobile.twitter.com/EddieRFC7

He seems to have no credentials or links to reliable newspapers, but has got a lot of his "ITK" stories right over the past couple of windows. Some interesting rumours on his page.

Yep, there was a time where he got the starting XI spot on for months without fail.

Tis a mystery who he knows in the club. Very intimate knowledge of comings and goings too.

He is related to someone on the inner circle, a player most likely.

Snowflake Royal Yeah, be careful who you raid.

It's not a problem raiding someone like Rotherham on relegation for a standout player because they're in a weak team and have potentially experienced a promotion and a relegation.

But you want to avoid players from perennial strugglers and teams on their second relegation in a row. Because they're probably part of the problem or a bit damaged by the experience.

John O’Shea & Vito Mannone spring to mind! Didn’t Barrow get relegated with Swansea too?

Would a player know that much about transfers? When McShane was captain and I spoke to him he said a few things that seemed to sound like players really don't know much about the backroom.

I think the players would have a very good idea of who is coming in and out prior to anyone else, they all talk. You'll also have potential new signings contacting current players sounding them out I'd have thought.

O'Shea seems to have been worth it. Yes he suffered 2 relegations but he is a winner overall. And, from what i hear, his mentality was what allowed him to play at the top level.

Well, if his rumours are accurate this time, it's also reasonable to expect we're open to offers for Puscas.

Pedro Mendes in + Swift & Ejaria staying implies we're chucking our eggs in the 4-5-1 style that worked so well when Joao was fit.

I could see Puscas flourishing in a Coppell/McDermott style 4-4-2, getting on the end of crosses and running in behind; he could be our 15-20 goal a season striker. But not the lone front man.

I'd be tempted to accept a decent offer for Swift and invest in a couple of wingers. Make Puscas, Meite, Joao and Baldock our 4 strikers; all we'd need was a bit more CM depth and genuine wide options

Certainly wasn't ability.

Hard to judge him as a coach, but still think he was a waste of space as a player here.

Yeah cant argue that. He certainly seems to have been trusted as a coach by both managers. A lot more responsibility than I recall other coaches having match day.

Except Was it last summer we offered Moore a new deal to stop him going to Brighton ? And was it £15 million

And why would we be talking to Liverpool about Ejaria’s wages ? What we pay him Is nothing to do with them once he is a Reading player

Well he claims it was 15 million. Think it was the season before we offered the contract?

I dont know what the second part is about. Did he say that was an issue?

You can sometimes make arrangements with the selling club for them to cover some of the players wages, normally in the form of a reduction to the agreed fee.

My guess is we are trying to haggle Liverpool down sighting Coronavirus making the agreed price no longer viable for us. We would argue that no other club would pay £3.5m in the current climate either and negotiate a more affordable deal. The saving we'd make would then go to pay his wages.

Thats a fair thought.
