Yes, listening to them on Saturday you would think he had been a star for us and could almost fit in anywhere.
Get used to it,he is going and will soon be an ex-player and IMHO warrants something like a 5/10 for his time with us.

I have mentioned the idea of Blackett as trialling CF. He can head the ball, take knocks, isn't slow, is tricky.

Stranger things have happened

On behalf of Snowball I'll go back many years to Malcolm MacDonald who converted from left-back to striker and ended up playing there for England.
Unfortunately Blackett is no Malcolm MacDonald and he will be gone in a couple of weeks to play for some team like Rochdale or Oldham perhaps.

Blackett is a better player than McDonald is.

My apologies sir but that would be an identical scenario to Blackett moving to striker. I asked him to name a stranger thing.

Debatable and Malcolm is 70.

Starting XI

Reading: Rafael, Blackett, Osho, Morrison, McIntyre, Moore (c), Rinomhota, Swift, Olise, Méïté, Pușcaș.
Subs: Walker, Gunter, Miazga, Baldock, Obita, McCleary, Boyé, Masika, Richards.

Moore only change, back in for the injured Pele.

Bellends on Twitter having a meltdown over this lineup for some reason.

Oh god Bowen isn't playing Moore as a CDM is he?? Utter disaster if so, the bloke is barely a centre back.

Because Liam Moore has no business being in the side.

It won't be a popular idea but I hope if we get an early goal or two, we stick miazga and gunter on for a few of the more attacking players and completely sh*thouse our way through the game. Give Warnock some of his own medicine.

Assume Pele is injured. Can only think Moore is playing alongside Rino in CM - otherwise we are playing 5 at the back which would seem very defensive at home.

No change to the system. CDM will be a key part of the jigsaw in the summer transfer window.

Pele has slight hamstring problem. Charlie Adam also has a minor niggle therefore Liam Moore is expected to play the DM role as there is no way you should change the back 4 given 3 clean sheets in 3 games.

Liam has played that role in bits and pieces throughout the season so far and hasn’t looked out of place so don’t really see why anyone is getting upset.

One question from all this, particularly with the success of Osho, is whether Araruna is now another player that is really surplus to requirements.

Disappointed Moore is starting. We need to move forward and prepare for next season now we are safe......Moore is not in this plans.

Minute long debate on commentary about who the Middlesbrough assistant manager is. Quite literally the commentators job to know this and have the information to hand. Unprofessional.

Given we've had good success with Academy players it's a little disappointing we haven't tried one of them in midfield ahead of Moore .

Obita looks gone as he's played in midfield before, though he's not what you'd call a DM, but not used.

Really don't rate Moore's attributes to play in midfield.

That assumes somebody comes in for Moore. I doubt a PL club will come in for him and not many Championship clubs will want to pay his wages.
Sensible selection bringing in Moore for Pele. We have no one else to play the CDM role if Pele is absent.

Brilliant work by Meite to hold on to that and release it

Started quite well, but set piece and crossing still not great. Better but not great.

This has got 0-0 written all over it. Would take it tbh, would love a long run of clean sheets.
