SCIAG SJM was a used car salesman, they’re the least dodgy people in the world.

Started a business that's currently worth over £5 billion on the LSE. Some people play hard but ethically.

Would have been better off with Robert Maxwell ? aka Ján Ludvík Hyman Binyamin Hoch .

Millsy Serious question to mods- when a racist/Russian troll/whatever keeps signing up, is it not easy to kick them out asap? Must we endure this **** for longer than 48 hours?

I know the site needs footfall, but you're going to keep more people away by letting illiterate racists stay on here than keeping it clean.

Only the site admin can wield the Ben Hamer and get rid of people.

And he's not very active at all. Even if the mods email him.

And with modern tech it's hard to stop them just creating a new account.

Do wish hobnob would give the Mods access to Ben Hamer though.

He thankfully auctioned my eventual name change request from the ridiculous 2ww (thank you!) recently so he is around.

But I understand if he’s too busy to police people too much.

Perhaps as you suggest then he should let mods have the Ben, or at least let one trusted Uber mod have that power.

This is a well respected site of an extremely well respected club of a well respected multicultural and forward thinking major town.

To have people browsing our forums and seeing illiterate racist tossers allowed to spout endless divisive shit is not becoming of our town, our club nor this site.

I enjoyed my younger years breaking skinheads’ noses on Reading’s streets. It’s 2020 gimme a break.

Christ, your new name is more offensive than your first one. You picked Mills?!

Apparantly you have not read the whole post , read again and then say sorry.

Off course SJm was not a foreign owner, and would not have just pull the plug if things got a bit iffy, he has too many other local commitments, and being British and British based would not have risked his good name.

Really I think it is time to phase out Johnny foreigner at all levels of the game.

You new to social media ?
No one apologises for taking the p*ss out of people like you.
Now find a corner, crawl into it and stay there.

No problem with the piss, Just say sorry for being wrong.

Eid Mubarak.

Nope, no apology required.
Your only option now is to flounce.

Matt Mills the defender with the finger? Hah, no. I don’t think he ever endeared himself to anyone here enough to share this nickname. Although iirc he at least scored in a playoff final I guess.

I’m all a bit confused by this. Is this a smoking gun we should be worried about or just what we know that many football club owners have questionable dealings with their money?

No point us being worried, we have no control over any of it.
There’s been no hint of them being anything other than straight in terms of their dealings with us.
Major plus is the sister is British and I think most of their wealth is in her name.
I would expect almost any wealthy person has skeletons in their closet, not criminal necessarily but you inevitably make enemies as you make money.

Fcuking hell man, there's shit loads you can demonise Maxwell for and you chose the fact he was Czech.

A Czech Jew who came to this country to escape the Final Solution.

You really are an ignorant little toad.

Donald Maclean?
Guy Burgess?
Kim Philby?
Anthony Blunt?

We are so different? Something in our DNA?

We are no different to any other nation of people. You're right, it's just not cricket, it's the real world, not some sepia tinted belle epoche that never actually existed.

Its a changing world, it's evolution. Adapt, get on board and embrace change or wither in splendid isolation as the world passes you by.

Thank you for highlighting that infamous group, all left wing anti democratic Marxist traitors, and hardly your typical fair minded, tolerant, peace loving patriotic, democratic Brit.
The British as a race don't have the propensity for violence, murder, theft, cheating, corruption, nepotism, that is so rampant in foreign lands.
Gandhi said if I have to be ruled by anyone let it be the British.

Can’t someone find out who this is ? It’s clearly a parody account. My betting is it’s St Pauli.

I do find the notion of a constitutional monarchy not demonstrating a propensity for nepotism somewhat ironic.

This casino money laundering thing..... if Reading FC were to gamble a few thousand quid at a casino and to get lucky and come out with a few million, would that be okay under FFP rules? - club invests money, club receives a return?

The British are not a race, but if you look at the history books you will see all of the above, plus slavery, racism, religious persecution within our own lands, The crusades, Invasion and rule of other nations etc etc
