Have we still heard nothing from the new manager?

Why do we need to hear anything from the new manager? I would much rather he was working with the players than talking to a bunch of idiotic supporters.

This really - the Portugal trip is clearly about the squad/management team working together without any distraction, so am glad there hasn't been too much in the form of media access.

Lower West Seem to be making a big deal of winning the World Cup with Serbia U20's.

Paul Simpson who managed England when they won the trophy is currently Head Coach at Bristol City. No logical step that coaches make great managers. Clement being another example .

Simpson is the "Number 2" isn't he? The point still stands though that it's probably because the "Head Coach" model is becoming more and more prevalent as opposed to the old fashioned "Manager". Basically, similar to International Football you have to coach and improve the players you're given. Sure you get to make suggestions and say who/what player(s) you want but ultimately it's another persons job to deal with recruitment.

Reckon Stam /Clement/Gomes/Bowen all fall into that category but maybe it's a category the new guy is more suited to.

Steve Cooper seems to be making a decent fist of it at Swansea.

I’d expect an extensive interview with him once he’s in the country. I think it’sreally Important that we as fans get a better idea of who he is, what his approach will be,what he makes of the squad etc etc. But agree that giving him and the squad a week to focus on sorting each other out behind close doors is sensible.

Good for you but that has been on Twitter for most of the last hour - so not exactly exclusive, chump.

It was revealed to me first, I have inside information before many others. Don't be jealous, it isn't a good trait.

Yes darling - then just be a bit quicker in typing it out next time then - as its only exclusive if someone hasn't posted it elsewhere before you.

That's where delegation helps - you can't do it all yourself, you'll just drop a ball or two.

I’m finding it hard to be remotely interested in a Porno interview when he won’t be here in a few months!

Because as Dai is risking it this season we will need to be in the playoffs by Christmas at least otherwise he’ll be gone. Don’t car what additions we make, this squad is nowhere near the playoffs.

So whilst certain fans are getting very excited, the sensible ones of us are getting very anxious at the prospect of the impending FFP that we’ll face thanks to our glorious owner!

That’s a pretty serious case of paranoia there.
There’s nothing sensible about taking unsubstantiated speculation and letting it ruin your life.
So far there isn’t any sign of us spending anything, let alone risking anything.
All the players we’ve been linked with are loans or free agents...

Strongly suggest you go and have a lay down and step away from the keyboard.

We have literally just cleared out a number of players whose wages amount to over £150k a week. Apart from Laurent and Ejaria literally nothing has happened.

Excited fans can also be sensible ones and i will include myself in that and look forward to what this season holds.
