To elaborate on this Snowball just make it so everyone knows the criteria and it is set in stone.

Score
Half time score
Goalscorers
Minute of goal

Then have a bonus prediction each game that can change. Total corners, first yellow card etc.

Pepe the Horseman Thought I'd pop in and leave a quick prediction, but this all seems VERY complicated.

It might LOOK complicated but it ain’t

Pick the HT SCORE or Result
Pick the FT SCORE or Result
Pick first team to score bonus for when
Pick first Reading scorer ditto

That’s the core

Bonuses for predicting sides who gain points from a losing position and (rarely) getting the goal sequence right from, say, a 3-2 win

Nobbers don’t need to concern themselves with details They just need to get their predictions in on time, ideally with the right format

The reason for that and “explicitly stating” (for example) “Colchester to win from behind” or Reading to Score First in first half is to make it easier for me to enter the data.

Reading’s gonna win

or

Reading (1) 1 Colchester (0) 2 just takes a lot of time to “parse” and if certain Nobbers choose not go go with making my life a tad easier they lose five points every time. Their loss

So you just want the FGS? Not all goal scorers?

Nothing to stop you doing that

It’s just the full format can earn a lot more points in the Prediction League

I had to try for 100% same-format because I was getting dozens of different ways of posting and it was a nightmare to decode and caused a lot of mistakes

The correct format and deadline thing is more than two season’s old

People can post first, second, third scorers (And they usually do) but the points are for FIRST RDG scorer, the others are just for interest

In the case of RDG’s opponents, I’m not interested in which Derby player scored, just “Derby”

The OP always gives an example of the ideal/correct post

90 Minutes plus added on minutes, then penalties
