And the atrocious home form looks very much to be alive and well still. Can it be kicked into touch in the next 80 minutes?

I’d prefer we stopped fannying around with the ball in our own box.

Sutekh Yiadom injured again, hasn't he missed every game Reading have played against Barnsley since he left them?

Chance for Araruna to step up...

Yiadom seems even more injury prone than Joao.

I like Araruna but still think we need more cover in that position given the frequency with which Yiadom appears to break.
Yiadom has picked up three injuries in just over two years. He played 45/46 matches in his first season here. Last season he played five more matches than Joao. I wouldn’t really call that injury prone.

Yeah keeping possession of the football, terrible isn't it? Such a bad tactic to keep hold of the ball so the opposition can't score. What a silly thing to do, sack the manager.

CountryRoyal And now a free header. Moore's had a stinker so far.

May have done Barnsley a disservice. They look good. Playing exactly the way I wish we would.

High tempo, no nonsense, hard work and direct.

Massively overshot ball to Araruna there too. Moore's shocking under pressure at times.

Agree, we're a bit sloppy but credit Barnsley. We need to be smarter and a bit more assured.

Why do we still dick around with playing corners short?

This is exactly what I was talking about post Derby.

Easy to look good under no pressure, but we'll get pressed in at least 35 games and as predicted we're struggling with it.

It would be good if our midfield could make an appearance

We just can't deal with the Barnsley press. Disappointing.

Making the pitch really congested wherever we try to go. And we're too intent on passing out to exploit the space and spread the play.

You can tell who the people are who are against Paunovic already, they are the ones who moan non-stop during the games for absolutely no reason.
