Jackson Corner Could this be the ultimate sick Covid joke? After 4 years of watching crap we may have a half decent team. And we can’t watch it.

Yes, it’s all part of the same conspiracy. Long may it continue too :?

We seemingly have one thing on our side this season, luck! We are so much more solid than we were, all the players are putting in a shift.

Snowflake Royal GOAL!!!

Puscas' mis-control fools the defender, falls well for him and he puts it away off the defender, wrong footing Foster with the deflection.

Yes, a bit of a catalogue of random deflections but he was there to do it.

First league goal Watford have conceded this season too.

Always rate a player that can benefit from their own less than perfect touches. Good composure.

Puscas has been transformed. Much much better first touch, much much better at winning the ball and laying it off, much much better at being involved and positioned well.

Snowflake Royal That looked like a clear foul by Richards, started outside the box but definitely ended inside.

Very lucky that.

The foul initially occurred outside the box so it should have been a free-kick.
Puscas has done really well. His hold up play has improved so much.

Good half. Will still take a draw from this but been impressed given the lineup. Aluko playing well I hear?

Yup. Great energy, tidy feet, good awareness and movement and putting in a defensive shift. Weird.

Can I just say, Rino and Laurent are doing such stellar work protecting the back four, keeping possession and starting off our attacks. Giving us the presence and foothold in games we've been crying out for for years. And it's all just such simple football from them.

That’s a decent half of football despite our clear deficiencies on the right side of the pitch.

Aluko is showing he can be a useful backup option although I’m undecided whether it’s good or not how deep he’s coming. Up until the last 15 min of the half we weren’t posing any threat, and was thinking he needed to push closer to Puscas.

Bit of luck was required for the goal, as Kabasele looks a proper centre back out there

Would still settle for a 1-1, but a good team performance so far

The people who bodysnatched Swift at the start of last season and replaced him with someone good have done the same today with Aluko.

I for one welcome our alien overlords.

Aluko has been fine. Worked hard and some nice passes. Doing well.

Pretty even up until the goal, you could see Watford's ex-PL quality at times. But we got better as the half went on and looked great after the goal. Hopefully we can hold on.

Holmes has looked perfectly capable and good assist (shanked shot?). Aluko looking good and Puscas' hold up play greatly improved.

A leaner squad improves morale and makes the group tight knit. Must make it easier for the likes of Holmes and Aluko to step in.
