WestYorksRoyal Pretty even up until the goal, you could see Watford's ex-PL quality at times. But we got better as the half went on and looked great after the goal. Hopefully we can hold on.

Holmes has looked perfectly capable and good assist (shanked shot?). Aluko looking good and Puscas' hold up play greatly improved.

A leaner squad improves morale and makes the group tight knit. Must make it easier for the likes of Holmes and Aluko to step in.

Think I'd give Holmes the benefit of the doubt and say he went to wind up for a shot and instead decided to play in Puscas in discretion being the better part of valour.

He's doing ok, but doesn't look hugely comfortable as a RB to me, and I haven't seen enough from him to be happy with him taking the RB reigns until Yiadom or Araruna are back in December / January. It's a long time and a lot of pressure for a young CB.

Notts Royal That’s a decent half of football despite our clear deficiencies on the right side of the pitch.

Aluko is showing he can be a useful backup option although I’m undecided whether it’s good or not how deep he’s coming. Up until the last 15 min of the half we weren’t posing any threat, and was thinking he needed to push closer to Puscas.

Bit of luck was required for the goal, as Kabasele looks a proper centre back out there

Would still settle for a 1-1, but a good team performance so far

Agree about Kabasele. Very good player at this level.
Moore was very lucky with that awful back pass.

Totally disagree with that, he's looked composed and comfortable being in the first team and playing this game.

With the lack of options, that position and shirt are his, I reckon.

Actually there's been some real heart in mouth moments.

Richards letting it bounce and him and Moore being caught in no mans land for a break.
Cabral blasting the ball down the pitch at knee height
Cross that went across the face with no one there
Fk on the woodwork
Moore's shocking pass
Richards 'not' foul that could have been wrongly given as a penalty

On another day.

Olise has kindly taken Alukoitis off Aluko.

Unnecessarily overplaying and spinning in dangerous positions to give the ball away.

We're lucky we're playing a Watford team who have scored only 2 goals in their 3 games, as you say...

Zip Aluko is playing really well

The wolf will live with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the goat; the calf and young lion and fatling will be together, Aluko will play well and Reading will win the Championship as the End comes in 2021.

What about Tom Holmes? Talk to us about how he shouldn't be playing in place of Tennai Watson.

All Watford at the moment, quite a few corners in quick succession but seem to be dealing with them so far.

Well exactly...a leaner squad tends to do that. Which is why, whilst we need a few reinforcements, the worst thing we can do right now is go crazy on deadline day and upset the unit as it is

Btw...how much has Meite’s 1st touch improved?! A huge improvement

You're too scared to debate and know you lack the necessary football knowledge. You're irrelevant here.
