Apparently Derby are fielding an entirely youth team for their FA Cup tie at Chorley, due to their Covid outbreak. FA rules state that clubs are expected to fulfil their fixtures is they have 14 eligible players available, including those from the U23 and U18 squads.

Could make Luton's team interesting.

Based on our league games with them over the last year or so, can they field a weaker team?

Chorley have been pummeled in from 17/2 to 5/4.

The draws for BOTH the FA Cup 4th & 5th Round will take place on Monday 11th January at 7:10pm

Both draws will take place on the same date 'to aid with fixture scheduling'.

The draws will be conducted live on BBC Two & BT Sport 1.

@Ollie_Bayliss

The FA has changed the substitution rules ahead of the FA Cup 3rd Round.

Clubs can name 9 subs of which 5 may be used.

Teams can carry over any unused subs & make a further sub if the tie goes to to extra time.

Apparently you can carry over any unused subs into the next round as well.

Here we go, changing competition rules halfway through a competition - to please the big teams no doubt (most of whom will be playing sides filled out with the “nearlies” and academy players anyway).

Would have been much more fun to do all the remaining draws of the competition

Now Shrewsbury have also had a covid outbreak, but their game with Southampton has been postponed. How does that work?

They have confirmed to the FA that they don't have 14 fit or non self-isolating players. Game called off and there will be a decision on if the tie is played later - tough to see when given Southampton's schedule - or if Shrewsbury forfeit.

Looking at the Shrewsbury website, it seems they've only got an U18 squad, so presumably much smaller pool of players to pick from. Aston Villa v Liverpool now in doubt due to outbreak at Villa.

one thing noticed from the Pauno presser - think all EFL clubs have had their players tested today. If i'm not wrong, previously it was just based on players and staff reporting symptoms and testing from there.

Fair chance they'll uncover quite a few more cases today/tmrw which might affect teams

Osho back at Luton after his loan spell at Yeovil. Could make his debut against us on Saturday.

Also read that there will now be twice-weekly testing in the EFL for the rest of the season, covered by the PFA, so suspect there'll be games called off that otherwise may have gone ahead.

Just remembered that Sam Smith's loan ends today and so maybe he will be in the squad - although he has not exactly had a great loan at Tranmere.

I thought this was gonna be available for everyone to watch for free, but looks like it's on BT. Anyone know if there's a way to watch it if you don't have BT Sport?

I might be being blind and missed this - but can you get BT Extra through the red button on Sky (if you have a BT sub via Sky)?
