South Coast Royal
Hound 4 CBs in the starting 11 today then....

Guessing Yiadom and Richards need a rest

What it does do is give us more attacking options on the bench - Richards, yiadom and Esteves can all play wide mid

Please stop going on about players needing a fcuking rest.
The other day posters said about young Olise needing a rest which is understandable but Richards?

I wonder if this is Pauno over-reacting a bit to the opposition and their aerial attack.
It would be understandable if we were away going for a point but at home when you are 5th in the division I would have thought the focus would have been on the way that we play, not the opposition.

Anyway it could well work out and with Bournemouth only drawing just now I wouldn't be too disappointed in a draw.

Vic, sometimes players do need a rest so I won’t keep going on about it

Not because they are ‘tired’ but because they may have a niggle and wouldn’t be expected to last the 90.

It’s nothing beyond basic sports science. I very much doubt he wouldn’t have started had he been 100% or somewhere near that

The Brentford game was played at a frenetic pace as well.

Millwall are going to pose an aerial threat from set pieces. Probably little else.

Snowflake Royal
Mid Sussex Royal Completely understand re Yiadom, just back from long term injury and a compressed run of games coming up, Holmes gives us more height too and they will lump balls in to the box as always.

Don't get Richards decision though.

Both of them struggled a bit against Brentford.

On top of that, Holmes and Gibson will be able to compete much better at each end at set pieces.

Only 2 of the side are below 6ft. I doubt he is just filling the side with big lads because millwall like a few long balls

Holmes is almost certainly because yids isn’t ready for another 90

Richards - who knows. But sure there is a perfectly good reason

Happy Wallace is missing for them, good player.

Being tall doesn't make you good in the air.

We've seen Holmes cause havoc at corners. Won't see that from Rino, Laurent, Richards, Yiadom, Ejaria, Swift, Olise, Aluko... etc.

True he does strengthen us. But Laurent is decent defensively in the air and Yiadom isn’t bad. Then you’ve Morro, McIntyre, Joao and Semedo to mark their big lads

It’s possible with Holmes. And an added bonus but I suspect if Yiadom
was ready he’d swap the extra Holmes height for Yiadoms ability to break through the millwall lines at the back

Impressive persistence from Olise, then no foul. Not going to be a fun day if the ref isn't going to give those.

Millwall being the horrible physical side everyone expects them to be.

Blatant shove in the air to go under a header earlier too.

The lads are having chunks kicked out of them. Holmes and Gibson are struggling with the pressing game.

I hate seeing us keep possession and go backwards only to pass to Rafael and inevitably ultimately lose possession.
