tidus_mi2 I feel if we're going back in for Semedo that we have player sales planned.

Wouldn't be massively upset with Laurent being sold for a decent fee with Semedo coming in to take that spot.

Yep, could live with that with Tetek covering. Not ideal, but solid.

Yep Tetek or a smart transfer using any funds we raise.

Prefer the funds go 50/50 towards offsetting debt and signing a LB and/or LW

I'd expect us to receive double for Laurent compared with what we pay for Semedo. Poor business otherwise.

Isn't Laurent only on a 2 year deal though? If so we'll only get a couple of million

Yep Laurent has a year left. I really didn’t feel Semedo offered us much and would rather we extended Laurent’s contract with Tetek as back up.

I feel like there are better or at least more cost efficient options out there than Semedo.

Hopefully there'll be a signing of Pauno's choosing to bolster the central midfield options.

I have it on very good authority that, if we sell Laurent,
we will get at least 1,000 times what we paid for him.

Alfa Semedo has signed a five-year deal with Vitória SC for a fee of €1,700,000 with a release clause worth €50,000,000

So would I. It would weaken us further.

I would be fine with selling Laurent as it would actually show that the club understands our position, the ideal situation for a club in this division who isn't receiving parachute payments is to sell players when their stock is high, that's Laurent right now. Then in an ideal situation you can replace the player and potentially get another 1 or 2 in.

Don't think he'll be sold though.

If you're fine with Laurent being sold then you need your head seeing to.

Keep running the club into the ground then, it's worked so well so far.

Why do you feel the need to resort to insults for someone stating their opinion?

Hopefully we'll trigger it once the embargo is lifted.

Why is that insulting? Wasn't directed just at you, you're not the only one to say it. Essentially another way of saying it is madness to be ok with Laurent being sold.

We aren't cash poor as a club, we are overspending on wages. Laurent isn't nearly as expensive on that front when you consider Swift, Puscas, Meite, Moore, Joao are at the club. Laurent's consistency would be very hard to replace and out of the names mentioned would be the last on my list to go.

While I agree with him about keeping Laurent at all costs;I am beginning to wonder if Naff is a reincarnation of OMA.

He is

Anyway I’d hate to lose Laurent but I’d also hate to see him go on a free at the end of the season. Along with Rino

Need to get contracts to them as soon as we can
