Hound How would beefing up have helped a damaging a foot?

His fractured eye socket was caused by regularly skipping eye socket day at the gym.

In light of tonight’s Femi Azeez rumoured move to #LFC I understand he has been nursing an injury, which could potentially see him out for an extended period of time, depending on diagnosis. #ReadingFC

I presume this is an injury that you can “play” with and that will be more fully assessed while everyone takes a break for more tedious internationals?

Getting quite unbelievable this though, Reading seem to be losing a player to longish term injury every game. This will be the fifth after Joao, Meite, McIntyre and Araruna’s ongoing saga.

If this is true there is something seriously going wrong at the club that has to be looked at. We are only four games in.

Same problem for years now

Some attribute a high quantity of injuries to being unlucky but reckon there’s more to it

You can understand players getting a knock and missing a game her or there but we are picking up serious injuries which at this rate is going to decimate the squad.

But the injuries picked up by Joao and McIntyre in particular were impact injuries from the game. A review of the medical dept is probably due but very little can be done if a player picks up a long term injury from impact.

If say it was all similar muscle pulls etc then focus very much on either the training or recovery.

As was Arauna - he was fouled at Cardiff last season.

How exactly did Meite get injured?

With Araruna - and you could include Swift, Yiodm, Joao and a few others it’s been more how long to get back on the pitch

Impact injuries happen - can’t do much about it. But it’s soft tissue and recurring issues where you’d want to review

I can't remember a time when we've lost 4 first teamers for half the season pretty much before the window has even shut. And one of them isn't even Swift

Swift is apparently due to be crocked for several months v QPR or Fulham.

João, hip op, out til Jan

Ejaria, Covid so isolating

Knowing our luck it'll be long covid.

And by what Paunovic just said in his interview it doesn't sound like I was too far off with this.

Also confirmed Azeez is long term. so that leaves us with Puscas and 17 year old Clarke, happy days.
