It was being indicated Derby were about to accept a 9 point deduction with a further 3 point suspension for breach of FFP. Then they went into administration and the FFP penalty is still to be confirmed.

Given they were allowed to spend less on player wages than us in the summer it suggests to me our penalty will at worst be the same as there’s but potentially not as severe.

There's also the precedent of Sheffield Wednesday getting their deduction halved on appeal and they bodged the accounts to pass FFP. There's no suggestion we've done anything like that.

I'm still expecting 6pts with 3 suspended.

Snowflake Royal Just to add to that, the season is only about 3 months old and I'm not even sure last season's accounts are published yet. Though obviously the FL will have more up to date records than public I'm sure.

Clubs have to provide a projection for the current season and that is also considered as part of the assessment.

Pepe the Horseman Never really watched the show on Quest, but has anything been made of our ridiculous injury crisis and how we're still grinding out wins? Or is it all just about the looming deduction?

I thought last night was really poor.

Lazy journalism as Ian says by Colin Murray and no mention of injuries or 5 wins in 6. They just wanted to eulogise Swifty once again. Didn’t even mention that Dann’s assist was a cracking ball for a centre half.

Yeah I like how they talk about football generally but when it comes to our matches they are always so superficial in their comments and miss half of the relevant stuff to say. I think they always talk in more detail about the "bigger" clubs even when there is nothing to say. I like Ian but it always feels like a very planned, controlled discussion.

Courtney Friday is reporting it’s a full 9 points deduction with the potential for an extra 3 if things go tits up enough.

Thankfully Hull and Barnsley are dire, while Derby may still have another 9 deducted

Considering who the source of the information is we are probably going to end up being awarded 9 points.

They did, FL probably wanted to take all 19 points off.

Part of me wants them to give us a 100pt deduction and then I don’t have to waste anymore time watching this shower of shite.

What does this mean. Why would a further three be deducted on top?

Can't bring myself to look at the table, where does this leave us?

If 9 then just outside relegation places by a point, but everyone below has a game in hand

OK, that's not as bad as I thought.

And although there is circa 30 games remaining, we are looking at a 6-horse battle. Derby, Barnsley, Hull, Cardiff, Peterboro and us.
Each week that one of those others lose, is a bonus. And each time we play one of these others, a win would be fantastic.
It is going to be a tough six remaining months...but we know the score now.

Why don`t they just on with it and do it NOW? at least we will know where we stand then.

It will be a relief to finally know. Based on the last few games we look doomed with or without a points deduction.

Even if by some miracle we stay up we’ll be in an even worse position squad wise at the start of next season. Unless a points deduction wipes the slate clean?
