Table after 10 games

by tidus_mi2 » 01 Oct 2021 22:20

So I have heard before that the table starts to take shape after 10 games and I was curious, who arguably has had the hardest/easiest runs in that period, especially considering I have felt out opening fixtures based on where our rivals are in the table was, in hindsight quite tough so I did an table based on the average position of the teams everyone has faced, I have treated Derby as 11th as that is what their position would be without the points deduction, so everyone 11th to 23rd has also dropped a place.

Disclaimer, despite my hunch, I wasn't expecting the outcome.

Pos Team Avg
12 Reading 10.2
21 Nottingham Forest 10.4
24 Hull 10.4
13 Middlesbrough 10.6
23 Peterborough 10.6
22 Barnsley 10.7
15 Millwall 10.9
20 Swansea 11.1
16 Birmingham 11.5
9 Luton 11.8
8 QPR 11.9
17 Blackpool 11.9
19 Cardiff 12.1
1 West Brom 12.4
7 Huddersfield 12.7
18 Preston 13.2
10 Bristol City 13.4
11 Derby 13.6
3 Fulham 13.9
14 Sheffield United 14.2
6 Blackburn 15.1
5 Stoke 15.4
4 Coventry 15.9
2 Bournemouth 16

That is quite surprising, we really have faced teams higher up the table compared to everyone.

Disclaimer: it’s dog eat dog in the championship; it’s so bunched up and anyone can beat anyone - 10 games doesn’t tell you anything (look at our form last season for first 10 games compared to last 10 games).
