Hound Sounds like we actually played pretty well and the stats look quite good

All certainly not lost. The inability to hold onto a lead is absolutely killing us though

Every damn game when the club are winning it’s the same thing, last 20 or 30 minutes drop deeper and deeper and try not to throw it away. Is this manager deliberately instructing his players to do this or are Reading players just so unfit and/or stupid that they take it on themselves to do it.

I get that clubs losing tend to become more open as they have nothing to lose but the inability to counter any “tweaks” the opposition make is a serious problem of this management. And that’s then not helped in some instances with the tendency to bring it on yourself through making retarded substitution decisions.

bcubed Very depressing, despite expecting nothing from the outset

I said after the Fulham disaster that losing after leading feels worse than being thrashed, especially when their goals are late on.

No issue losing to Middlesbrough, its how we lose that is the issue. Game management nonexistent.

Derby’s next three home games are Birmingham, Hull and Peterborough.

That Fulham result is not looking ‘quite as bad’ given their goal fest again today

It's crazy isnt it, this team, on paper, should be contenders to win the league

.....................Cabral
Yiadom, Moore, Dann, Rahman
........Drinkwater, Laurent
Meite.........Swift.........., Ejaria
...................Joao

Southwood, Holmes, Morrison, Rinomhota, Halilovic, Dele-Bashiru, Puscas

It's like we're so obsessing over game management, we just give up the game. It;s instant, drop deep, defend. Waste a bit of time. Foul. Hack it clear. Slow the game down and keep possession. Just all in the wrong ways, in the wrong places at the wrong time.

Coventry doing the right thing…
And surely Derby can’t keep this form up?!?
That is all I have…

All unarguable points.

It’s a shame Andy Carroll couldn’t have ended his time with us as a winner. Fair play to him for giving it his all. I reckon he’ll score goals for Burnley.

We’re doomed aren’t we?

Derby have been consistent all season. Only four teams in the division have lost less times than them this season. They are only relegation threatened because of the points deductions so we have to expect them to keep doing well. I now think they will finish above us, Posh and Barnsley.

He’s been terrific. I doubt Joao can start on Wednesday so expect Puscas to start.

The only thing more annoying than losing 2-1 in the last minute of the game, is that I was 1 goal away from winning £1100 of a £1 9 fold acca. Had Swansea to beat Huddersfield

Just checked, 9 goals conceded 85+ minutes, so to say we would be 8th is total bollocks.

Listened to the whole game on the radio and sounded like we did ok, certainly better than last week, but as Jem Karacan said on commentary , playing out from the back the way we did is suicidal and so it proved , we think we're Barcelona , we're not , not even close

Their form in recent weeks is vastly improved on earlier in the season. I agree that they are much better than their position suggests (be 11th without the deduction) but this current run of form can’t continue forever…I hope…

It's 'only' 15 points.

I make it 11 points dropped 80 minutes and beyond. Admittedly that doesn’t account for any points gained on 80 or more, but it also doesn’t factor in removing the points gained from us on 80+ from other teams.

It might not be 8th, but its close.
