AthleticoSpizz
Royal_jimmy The summer is a good time to make a change
…and the perfect ‘thank you’ for achieving his one and only job of keeping us up.

Think he’ll probably walk anyway….head held high and all that….he’ll deserve a rest.

Exactly this. He has done a great job getting us through choppy waters but he's unlikely to be the man to take us forward when we have less transfer restrictions

It’ll be a tough call for our ‘lord and masters’ to make

AthleticoSpizz Yep, and his contacts and the ‘attractiveness’ of being managed and working with an English playing legend has certainly helped us too.

Tough call…Ince without a budget v Ince with a budget v a random manager…???

I don’t think he’s the man to take us forward but equally the proposition of another Pauno is truly soul destroying.

If we can get a manager with a proven track record that would of course be ideal. I’d even take someone from continent who’s teams play exciting high tempo football - don’t really watch that much European football at the moment so not sure if there’s anyone that would fit that bill (and come here).

Of course we wouldn't get rid of a manager for the sake of it. If there's a better alternative with experience at this level willing to come here then I'd back that. If it's another Pauno or Jose Gomes then no I'd rather stick with Ince.

The point is we can't keep ignoring Parkys credentials, a proven winner at all levels.

Karl Elsey retired in 1998, does Phil Jagielka still play? must be at least 40?

Parkys success in the ‘professional leagues” was a long time time ago too…at Colchester…he flunked his lines afterwards.

Would love to see an ex Reading legend to take charge…Parky may have matured a bit as a manager, …but he still has a long way to go to get to the standard that we require….he still has no credible credentials

(And yes, we’ve had some wrong-uns in recent years)

Five years time, maybe???

Half of our current support have never even heard of him

Would prefer to give Murty or Brnjar Gunnarsson a shout. Murty had a spell at Rangers and i believe Brynjar is managing HK in Iceland and got them promoted in his first season.
Brnyar will always be a Reading legend for that nutmeg and cross for Slong to get the winner against the scousers :D :D :D

Bryn is taking some time out, but yes…would prefer him when we ‘actually need to’ replace Paul Ince…..not that we need to, right now.

A proven winner who has failed at every level he has been at?

Please remind me, did this proven winner actually win anything last season with by far the best team and resources in a division we wouldn't look out of place in?

What has this proven winner actually won in the championship?

Agree - if we were to give it to any ex-legend of the club, I'd rather it be someone like Murty, not someone like Parkinson who peaked with Bradford over 5 years ago now and has worked down ever since.

Not that I think we should have any ex-player in charge at the moment anyway.

Very much a see how the season plays out.

So far Ince has done more than enough to earn a transfer window out from under embargos to see what he can accomplish with that over the first three or so months of next season.

But if we fall apart and drift down towards the fight, then probably best he moves on with thanks at the end of the season. Stay roughly mid-table and it would be daft to break the little continuity we have when things are going ok. And if he takes us on a run and pushes us up the table to near thr play offs, it would be madness to say goodbye.

But they soon will, Wrexham now sit 3 points clear at the top of the league, Fa cup 4th round tie against Sheffield United fantastic performance.

Mate, even if Parky gets the job, he still won't have sex with you - let it go!

The thing with Parky is that there's plenty of stuff that's come into about his time at Bradford that suggest he's a poor man manager who avoided confrontation by telling players what he thought they wanted to hear and that the players really didn't respect him.

20 years ago, he had a reputation as a tough tackling midfield general, now he's just another journeyman lower league manager who's struggled in bigger jobs.

By comparison If anyone suggested we appoint John Coleman, a manager who has got his team to consistantly punch above its weight and resources for the past decade, they'd be laughed off the site.

One of the panel on Fighting Talk this morning put forward Frank Lampard's next destination as the Championship and more specifically Reading .

Watch out Incey Frank's coming for you.
